What is the best techno DJ??

thank you people's champ..at least I know one person on here knows what techno is.

out of the 10 years I have been hearing dj's, the best techno performers LIVE would have to be Jeff Mills and Jay Denham.

seriously jilly. I actually am still trying to get in to the real techno scene, but there isn't a following here in san diego, which makes it a little more difficult. and, I only have one techno cd, which is richie hawtin's closer to the edit, but i have j holden's fear of a silver planet on mp3 which is good. could recommend anything along the lines of richie or any of his earlier releases that are like closer to the edit? minimal at its best. sometimes I am in the mood for just a drum machine and a sample here or there...

By the sounds of these replys you are all wana bs who have no clue. All you do is name big names tiesto and danny if thats all you know get a life and realize you know nothing.

Alright, let's get this settled; JP is given waaaay too much credit however he's got 2 awesome re-mixes I respect: Madonna's Like a Prayer and Sunshine in. Tenaglia is just too transy for me, it's all up to taste. That's electronic music for ya, it's all up to what kinda sound you're looking for. As far as I'm concerned, the one who has found my kind of sound is STEVE LAWLER the very best of all. If you like those tribal and bass sounds, you'll love him. My favorite:

The Biggest Thing in Detroit.

Jonathan Peters sucks, he doesnt do his productions and he is over rated, not even ranked on a national level or out of NY.

I love JP, but i have to agree with you on the credit thing. Most of his shit is done by Bush and Heinz. His good shit anyway. Also you can give him credit for Let the sunshine but not like a prayer. Thats all JIM HEINZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way like a prayer was, is and always will be ridiculous. My favorite club song of all time. I still get the chills when i hear it.:D
