Most protein bars are glorified candy bars with some protein in them.
Read the ingredients, full of saturated and trans fats, corn syrup, inverted glucose........................................
Even Snickers is doing one now.
I would consider them to be a cheat food, rather than a healthy part of a BBing diet.
If I am cheating with candy/choc bar, I would rather have a proper chocolate bar, like Lindt or Green and Black, 75% cocoa solids.
There are about 2 exceptions I know of, but in general, I would call them CRAP.
Personally, I avoid them like the plague.
