What happens if you inject into fat?

Stupid question, I know.

Today when I injected in my delt, I noticed that when I was about 3/4 of the way done the needle was sticking out more then it should have. I'm not to sure how much fat I have on my delt, but I know it's not alot.

So after noticing this I pushed the needle back in and kept on going. After I pulled out, a little amount of oil came out, but nothing drastic.

I'm wondering if there is any way to tell if you inject into fat? besides purposely doing it :)

for real how far did it go in? in your delt there is not any real layers of fat unless you are a big fatty. you should of still hit the muscle and if you didnt then you should feel a lump right after you injected telling you that it was a sub-q injection. if thats the case then kiss that injection bye-bye.

yeah my delt leaks a bit also, i was thinking of going to 1 inchers instead of 5/8

question; If for some reason your inj goes sub q, why is it bye bye? It's still gonna break down right? Longer or faster?

There are 1/10th the amount of blood vessels in fat areas compared to muscle. Although the vessels are there, the absorption is delayed. check the Gray's Anatomy for more on this, but you'll find that IM will be felt immediately (or near so) and in a fatty deposit, you'll get little to no impact, but will get slow build up in blood levels.
