Hi all! apart from chicken/tuna/turkey what other foods are high in PROTEIN! I'm trying to get around 350g of protein per day but am getting sick of eating chicken and tuna all day! I'm already having 3 protein shakes a day which is fine! any suggestions???
cheers

Eggs, nuts (peanut butter).... .....

Milk!!! Is a big one..a 16oz serving has no less than 22g and 36carbos..When bulking ive always got some milk beside me, plus its casien (time released), which is nice to mix up with the whey, diff protein sources..

im trying to cut right down on carb's, but i might start and mix in some egg whites to my shakes! is there a web site that lists foods and there protein content???

cheers

All good recommendations. Lean meats like chicken, turkey, tuna, and lean beef are great sources. Egg whites are great, but you run the risk of salmonella. Safeway makes a pasteurized egg product that they sell in quart sizes, fairly cheap. I use that in my shakes. It's no carbs, low cal, low fat and hi protein.

Here's a great nutrition site: Fitday.com. It's free, but you have to create an accound to use it. Also try Cyberdiet.

If you're limiting fat, hard-boiled eggs are nice because after they've been hard-boiled you can strip away all of the egg white and not lose any of it as you might often do when they are raw. BTW, large egg has 4grams protein in the egg white. The entire egg has 6 grams of protein with 4.5 grams of fat.

Good book you should get.......does your work for you.

'The Protein Power Lifeplan' Gram Counter by:
Michael R. Eades, M.D. and Mary Dan Eades, M.D.

It's about $4 at Amazon.com

Kangaroo, rabbit, camel, horse or anything else running around your local ecosystem that you can catch! Lean beef, lamb, pork and shark are also good to go.
