and by the way, you may not have claimed to have written it, but you never made a point of saying that you didn't write it (is that the omission bullshit you're talking about?).

and yes... i am david ho. o.k. o.k., i'm not. but it's a different context.

to copy/modify a picture and post it besides a handle on a forum using it as representation of oneself is not the same as asking a question in your own words then rewriting the work of a poet as your answer.

what you did was closer to being plagiarism. much closer.

I could argue that your sinature picture before sigs were pulled was along the same lines of copyright infringment - there's A LOT of that on this board and on the web - but I'm not looking to get into a flame session.

I think we both respect other people's work and I would imagine you respect yours as I respect my own.

How about we just call truce as I know my intent was to add some fun to the board not rip off someone else's poem. While your intent is to show someone's illustration as a representation of self. We've made our points - right?... Right.

I will, however, agree that in future, myself of course included, should state their sources of their quotes, artwork and/or photographs.

i really wasn't flaming. just trying to incite a little intellectual argumentation on the topic of plagiarism. actually i like debating any topic, whether or not i agree with what i'm saying or not. i just like to argue.

i agree to pacification. you do not have to cite your source if you don't want to. i just do so out of habit and to cover myself from people saying "hey!! you stole that from so and so" (i.e. buttholes like me.).
