What do YOUR friends think of your training obsession??

My friends and family are all supportive.

At one point a few years ago, I was thinking about quitting bodybuilding and focusing on a new aspect of ftiness.

However, my family and friends were against it. They always want to see my progress.

what new aspect of fitness were you thinking of going after louden ?

becoming a cyclist. . .I used to train between the ages of 12 and 15.

My father used to compete in races, so he was constantly training.

I am also interested in swimming.

my mom bought me some workout clothes last summer when I started working out consistently...I think that is about as supportive as she gets!

my dad calls me the gym rat...he's probably right since I spend more time there than with them (go figure). they have too much shitty food at their house...which is reason enough for me to make my visits brief!

Well my parents always tell people they let me go to the gym when I was younger so I could move stuff around the house for them. So everytime something needs to be moved I get that call "are you doing anything this weekend, could you come home."

As for workout clothes i get sleeveless shirts and mesh shorts so I can't complain too much there.

One of my friends, specifically, always complains about how small/weak he is (he's about 5'8", 135). I try to encourage him to come to the gym with me and train and he comes like once every 2 months.
The funny thing is, I ask him to come everyday. Strange how everyday he has a "math test to study for", "something to go to at church", "family gathering"... I've heard every excuse. Most of the time however, hes studying... even though he gets terrible grades

I get stuff from alot of people, claiming all the eating isn't good, or the fact that I get so close to throwing up after a leg day is ridiculous. I just shrug them off and tell them it's what I'm content with doing, and no one's going to stop me. Most of my friends and such are proud of me, though. It's good to be dedicated to something. They just want to see me put some effort into school, rather than my training or social life. Meh, we'll see...

I love the confuxed look I get from co-workers when they see I'm excited that I gained a couple pounds. They are all the "I need to lose weight" folks, and can't understand why I want to gian weight.

I usually ask them, "You ever seen anyone get stronger by getting smaller?" Some of them get the idea then. Some.

I train, therefore I am.

My parents never really got in the way. They liked it. I guess because I was tall 6ft 3 and really skinny like 130`s a long time ago. So when they seen me get muscles they were happy.

My wife is now very supportive but the pharmacy I have on the kitchen counter is starting to take over the kitchen and it bugs her.

I have no friends. gimme karma and I may feel better.
