What do YOU think of homosexual marriage

I am against any tax or other social or financial benefits to marriage for same sex couples. Basically marriage exists as a legal institution only to offer financial releif for the raising of children. A gay marriage is not such a union because it cannot bear the fruit so to say, unless a lesbian gets inseminated, and then it should probably be treated the same as any single parent legally.

Benefit types of things that would be ok to be assigned to same sex marriages would be like matters of inheritence. Without a will in most cases the deceased blood relations can usually claim everything, with their partner getting nothing, and no way to fight for anything. Normal marriages everything defaults to the spouse.

Completely agree. For these reasons, as a minister, I will not marry a gay couple.

Not sure if i would allow a minister who visits an anabolic steriod bodybuilding site to marry me anyway even if i was straight. and no offense to you please don' take this next comment personal but the same catholic preists who sware off gay marriae or agy lifestyle are molesting little boys. not a very good argument from the church if you ask me. god and only god will judge and those who act on the word of god " jim baker, molesting priests, priests who prech for money and have million dollar homes and nice cars" are not what god intended to preach his ways.

all i want is if i die my will goes untested. all i want is the right to buy something with my other half and be able to write it off as a couple. don't need the tax breaks or any special rights. my family loves my other half and all of my will info is tight and done by an attorney so it can't be over turned which happens way to much.

I'm not a minister like you're thinking of. I got ordained (online) mainly just to be ordained, but also to have the legal rites of a traditional minister, power to marry folks in the eyes of the court, read last rites, (NOT AS A TAX BREAK THOUGH etc. Sort of like being a magistrate of the courts.

Besides, God wants you to be healthy and HUGE!!!

Sterility is a different situation and can be something that happened after marriage or not known before marriage, etc.

Personally i do not think it is as healthy mentally for a child to be raised by same sex parents. The child is probably not gay and may be missing the same mix of male and female perceptions that the mother and father can impress upon the child during its youth.

Now, i am not saying a child in such a situation is doomed to be a nut, or that homosexual people cannot make suitable parents, but the possibility for psychological confusion, pain, and drama is probably increased. This being mainly due to outside the home factors. Hows a kid that was adopted by 2 gay guys going to explain that he doesn't have a mom, that kind of thing.

people do need role models of different gnders, (not sex, theres a difference.) many time, these role models come from outside the home.
people said the same thing about interracial marriages only a few decades a go
