Benefit types of things that would be ok to be assigned to same sex marriages would be like matters of inheritence. Without a will in most cases the deceased blood relations can usually claim everything, with their partner getting nothing, and no way to fight for anything. Normal marriages everything defaults to the spouse.
Completely agree. For these reasons, as a minister, I will not marry a gay couple.
