What are you talking about man? I'm from the future. I've been sent back to make sure Christmas isn't spoiled by Islamic Extreamists.

My wife crazy... and 2001 Pathfinder LE bought it in august of 2001 all leather fully loaded minus nav system. I got 6 payments left. yay.

Yhea and I sure you are putting everyone in the festive mood by posting some professional pic of yourself:)?

Just to stay in the releams of the topic, I also drive a 98 Carolla.

My pathetic excuse for a ride is a 1991 Honda Civic CRX Si with 164,000 miles on it. I bought it used about half a decade ago. At least it's paid for. No car payments makes my investment portfolio happy. And more money for gear and Swiss watches...

1990 GMC z71 pickup

65k miles and still running like a champ

wont own anytihng other than a gmc/chevy pickup my whole life

2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71.

2002 Dodge Dakota (Black) Baught it new 1 1/2 years ago but selling it and going for a 2002-2003 Ram 1500 or an F-150 HDif I can find one for the price I'm looking for :)

I had a Ford Explorer... until somebody ran into it and caused it to roll over a few times. Now we have a mini-van and my old beater of a Saturn that keeps going and going.... I hate car payments so I let my cars last forever.

Hard to look cool in a minivan.:D

We have a Suburban and a convertible Sebring.

After rolling over in an SUV, I went with something that has a lower center of gravity. That is something I'd rather not experience.

I must be a bit odd - I've never viewed a vehicle as a status symbol or placed any special value on it. It's merely a method of transportation until it dies. Hence, I tend to be quite happy with piece 'o shit cars.

But.. I did own a sweet 1975 Buick Lesabre convertable for many years. *THAT* was an awesome piece of american metal. My one nod toward trendiness.

My wife on the other hand... likes newer vehicles. The bargain is struck. I drive functional yet old, she get's newer.

I love POS cars. Shw wanted a new car so I got her one. I hate buying new cars because of depreciation but I just said "what the hell" and I bought her one. As much as she does for me, she deserves it.

I have been driving for almost 28 years and I have had 7 cars that
I bought for myself to drive. One of my brothers who is 18 months older than me has had at least 45 cars during his driving career.

Just give me a car to get from point A to point B and I am happy! I could care less what it looks like. :)

My current car has a sunroof that leaks when it rains. Duct tape keeps the rain out. A bit ghetto, but what the hell, it works. The car is paid for. It's mine, mine, mine.

Duct tape is an amazing invention.

The best cartoon I ever saw was a guy carrying the forks with the front tire of his motorcycle in one hand and dragging his motorcycle with the other and asking his friend, "Where is my duct tape."

'02 Lexus GS300.

'99 SAturn recently stolen, recovered, probably to bve totaled.

Looking at a Range Rover (waste) or Lexus SC430 (possibly too GEIGH) so we'll see.

Matt,

lol, why would the Lexus SUV be gay when you already own a GS300?

The SUV is a sweet ride. That's probably my next vehicle.

I probably drive the worst car out of everyone

1992 plymouth acclaim just had to put a new engine in the damn thing and it sounds like shit already

I cant wait till im done college and working, then im buying a Subaru Baha

The SC430 is a two door coupe.

The SUV is either the LX470 or the GX/RX series.

The Lexus SUV collection is very cool but too run-f-the-will, whereas a truly sharp Ranger rover is not really...not here anyway.

My mistake, I read it too quickly. I thought you said the RX330.

And after seeing what you were talking about, I agree the SC430 is pretty gay looking.

Get an SL500 instead. Those cars are sweet. I had a 99.

'99 Saturn with 150k miles, bought it used, got pulled over and was repossesed, apparently the car was stolen = i bought a stolen car

The best car I had so far has to by my first car: 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra. It was awsome, sitting in it, was like sitting on your couch.

How would you know what sitting on my couch is like!!!!!?????

Seems that a couple of people own the 03 camry. I dont know why you wouldnt have bought the 03 nissan altima se v6 instead. The V6 has 245 HP!

It has 4 wheels, doors, a shell, a horn. I think they call it a car.

1989 Nissan Sentra coupe. No muffler. 150k miles. Never has broke down on me or anything.

I could make this sucker last to a quarter of a million. But my mom is buying a new car and is (hopefully) going to replace this one. Hers is a 2000 Camry V6, 4 doors. Sweet car. Trying to sell my car to my roommate. I would help him maintain it and stuff. Good to keep cars "in the family."

Any of you Camry drivers modded them up? I'm thinking of putting a TRD rear sway bar on the camry to reduce understeer.

1994 Chevrolet Impala SS.....NOT the shit version they have out now that some police dept's use because the 2000+ versions do not have an LT1

Im thinking about putting a TRD supercharger in my camry, but it cost $4k and another $1K to have installed. I think it will increase HP by 50.

1995 Mercury Grand Marquis---the best long distance road trip car i have EVER owned!! 128,00 miles on it and it still drives as good as the day i brought it home.

2003 Ford Ranger---like big4life, i also missed having a truck, with an old house a truck DOES come in handy!! i always felt guilty about loading fertilizer or shrubbery in the padded, carpeted trunk of the Mercury!!!

i may be getting one, that or a toyota tacoma. how do you like yours?

its not bad, 87k miles on it so far, 99 model.
There are several downsides. It has really poor gas mileage (22mpg maybe), does not have a very smooth ride and i cannot carry groceries. i dont want to use the bed as they slide everywhere so i have to put groceries in the passenger seat.

Id get a toyota if i were you, just for the reliability factor. maybe a toyota tacoma.

the older Rangers did ride kinda choppy; a front suspension change on the '01 or '02 models softened up the ride quality a great deal.

Nice. I love the NSX.

The only picture I have is of my 1999 C5 which has been traded in for a 2001 C5. This picture was professionally photoshoped by www.kevcarart.com

So now I have:
  • 02 C5 (cold-air, exhaust, nitrous, 2800 stall torque converter)
  • 03 SVT Cobra (bone stock)
  • 02 Chevy Trailblazer (wife)

Yeah the supercharger is I believe not too good of a mod for a daily driver that you want to keep.

Cold Air Intakes can be fabricated for less than $150 if you know what you're doing. With a K&N you're gonn aget some performance there.

You’re right and that is usually the case, but on my SVT, the boost is regulated by the PCM and only kicks in during heavy throttle. Still the turbocharger is much more efficient even though it doesn’t provide the low end torque of a supercharger.

Hondas last forever.

Our family's old '89 Accord has 293,000 miles on it now. It still has the original engine. My dad says he'll have to blow it up to finish it off....its like Jason Vorhees.

What I really, really want is a Supra or a RX8.

OOoh me likes!

The Supra or the RX8 or both?

OK I just looked up the RX8 and the most powerful engine only has a torque rating of 159. That seems pretty cheesy for a $30K car. You'd definitely need some aftermarket toys to keep from being embarassed by a lot of other cars.

the RX8's are nice....but those rotary engines rev really high.....no low end power.....i think it redlines at 10k or something...still a pretty sweet car though.

If I had my way, I'd be driving a WRX STI....that car will basically spank just about anything on a twisty road.....:p

Redline at 9K. Your'e way close for quoting it just off the top of your head.

so its the high revving thing that makes it have such crappy torque? Ok that explains a lot then. That's why 4cyl cars even with a lot of hp always have way less torque than bigger engines with equal hp.

right...the powerband occurs at higher revs.....you really have to get the revs up there to stay in the powerband.

however, a turbo can greatly help with that :p, and a supercharger, even more on the low end.

that's why I loves me some turbo

BOTH!

OF course if you're going to go Supra you need to buy a 1996-1998 Twin Turbo or nothing.

THe RX8 is just as awesoem example of rotary engine technology.

Basically, you have to drive it like you hate it to get anything out of it. Same with the S2000.

Until I moved to the city I had a 2002 Audi TT 225hp Coupe. I knew I couldn't deal with worrying about the car, so I traded it in and got a 2003 VW GTI. I miss my TT :bawling:

anyone got a toureg? i'm kinda curious as to how they're doin... btw i don't wanna hear "awe thats a gay ride" ...

that's a gay ride.....j/k....isn't that built on the same platform as the porsche cayenne?

it looks like it is... i'm just curious if it is built better than most of vw's low end sedans... jetta's have a horrid reputation based on what i've seen. I'm seriously considering a toureg and would be even more stoked if audi released a toureg mod :D

i was at the dealership and it says it has 310 hp out of a v8... not BAD... but not GOOD... seeing as how the cayenne has like 500 or some obscene amt... I want turbage.
