What do I do, if i can't get that 8th rep?

I go for 8-15 reps, so what do i do if on the last set, I can't do 8 reps???

do I push as many as I can?
do I lessen the weight on my last set?




What's your recommendations?



Is there any benefits of doing 6 reps for the last set?
 
and by this you are saying, for instance on a bench press... I should do the seventh, then very very slowly bring it down, then have my buddy pull it off of me?

reps arent that important when u get up to like 6 or 7. if u cant do anymore, that means yer muscle is gettin worked.
 
How many sets are you doing?

Push out as many as you can, then when you reach your target, you know its time to increase the weight!
 
When you start having to sacrifice form to get the weight up, definately stop. You'll be risking injury and 1 rep with bad form wont do you any good anyway.
