What can I add to Brown rice for flavor?

I find Brown rice to be kind of bland sometimes. The brown rice I ate tonight was slightly crunchy, which made it a little more exciting (I don't know if it was overcooked, or if it was crunchy from cooking it, putting it in the refrigerator for a day, and reheating it--which do you think caused this?)

but, I'd like to find a healthy flavor to add to it. Salsa is preety good, but do you have any other ideas?

i find brown rice to be much tastier when it is still hot from its initial cooking, but it does NOT reheat well at all, IMHO.

and yeah, add me to the BBQ list.

BBQ sounds preety good. I'll try anything. I've tried about 5 different things with it so far, but I didn't see the BBQ sauce in my refrigerator so I didn't think of trying that.

Soy sauce tastes OK with it, but the ingredients in that are just not healthy at all!

When reheating rice ALWAYS pour a little water over it to rehidrate it.
Anyway, if you like the heat...add pepper of any kind but red (hot) is the best. It boosts your metabolism.

Thanx

I always have my rice w/ red beans. I mix in some tomato sauce, chili powder, onion and garlic salt and I leave some of the cooking water in and let it simmer for a little bit then mix it all in with my rice and chicken. It's sort of like a quick jambalya.
