What builds lower bicep

There is no lower bicep. You might have the same problem as I have, my bicep is shorter on my left arm. Sucks ass!

this question is gonna be answered by most people like this:

"you cannot isolate different areas of a muscle, you will hit the whoe muscle no matter what"..bla bla bla

Here on the other hand is my answere. maybe you cannot toatlly isolate an area of a muscle, but you VA target a area more than another. lower biceps like you call it, is basically the lenght of the bicep. and if you have been in the game for a while, you know that when doing preacher curls you tend to feel it more in the lower part than anywhere else. so do them..and hammercurls is also a good exercise, also targets the brachialis(sp?) more.

Yeah, its really hard to isolate that portion of the bicep, although one idea, which might work for you is to do preacher curls with a full extension to the bottom position, or to add half reps(bottom portion) to almost any curling exercise. Also you can do seated incline dumbell curls. No real exercise will actually build that exact portion of the bicep, you can only add fullness to the bicep.
The brachialis is in the forearm, right under the brachiradialis. The biceps brachii and biceps femoris are in the arm (bicep).

reason most of you guys feel it moreso on preachers and not on say...your standing straight bar curls, is that most of you dont get full range of motion or spend a significant part of your rep at the bottom position. the preacher curl puts a significant amount of stress at the bottom part of the motion thereby stretching the biceps fully and creating alot of stress on the bicep in that stretched position. do your standing straight bar curls with a pause at the bottom, fully extended, and then begin your curl (with no momentum!) and you'll begin to feel the full burden your biceps should feel on the"king of all bicep exercises". hehe.

:fro:

ps....im talking about feel, not isolation. seems most people go by feel or burn in a particular area to let them know where they are working....so, if you want to feel it, do it right.

you isolate it the same way you isolate your upper-mid calf.

Preachers are good for stretching the bicep out. Another good one is seated alternating dumbell curls using an incline bench. Put the incline at about 60 degrees and curl the weight slowly, making sure you fully extend on the bottom portion. Trust me, this hits the lower biceps like you won't believe.

simple lower bicep blast routine.

1 arm dumbell bell preacher curls

4 sets pyramid in weight emphasize the bottom!!!! and try to felx on top. do the preacher curls stangin as well...do not sit on the bench.

1 warm up set 2 sets for real of wide grip Barbell curls......decend slowly with each rep and go till failure

2 sets of barbell reverse curls medium grip again focus on the bottom of the movement......

after and during sets stretch the biceps
