weight loss

I was wondering if anyone can help me lose my last 15-20 lbs. The routine that I am doing now is running for 20 min every other day and taking xendadrine 3 times a week. My meals are low in carbs, high in veggies and moderate in protein (im vegetarian). I don't know if I've hit a plateau!!! But I haven't seen many results or lost any wieght for a month. If anyone has any suggestions on how to trim up and lose those last few that would be great. Thank you! -Stephanie

Dear cagirl9,

2 problems come to mind for me:

1) Calories too low=calorie deficit too deep
2) Fats too low=not enough EFA's in a diet

Try doing the following, it will surely help you break through a plateu:
Add 1tbsp. flaxseed oil, 3 times a day.

other wonderful EFA:
EFA's like: flaxseed oil, sesamese seed oil, sunflowerseed oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, peanut oil
(fish oil=fish)

Hey there Cagirl! :wavey:
Are you using resistance training to build a more metabolically active body in addition to your running? Cardio has a temporary calorie burn, muscles burn more all the time. See thread 'when 30 + 30...' great post on effective cardio.
Sooo much great info on diet, cardio, & training for women on women's board.
Welcome aboard! :rolly:

hmm eating low carb and moderate protien, I would think shes getting some pretty good vegetarian fats (peanuts), then again, some of the post above are seem right (by guess since we don't have much to go on)

mabe its like, low carb low protein because food intake is low. (all those low low low cal veggies like cuccumbers)

For best fat loss, do the cardio on an empty stomach in the morning.

Take the Xenadrine 30 mins before your morning cardio and try to do the cardio at least 4 times a week for between 30-60 mins every time.

Flax oil is a good idea as well, as mentioned by the other guys.

If you're serious about losing fat, try doing 1 hour of cardio, on an empty stomach 4-5 times a week. Then lift weights (heavy) 2-3 times.

YOu can do a search or take a look at the women's board for some routines.

If you start really exercising more, you 'll prbably need to eat abou 10-12 cals per pound with 1 gram of protein per pound.
