I work very long hours and im forced to eat a lot of my meals very quickly at work.. which isnt easy when im trying to bulk up which i am now..

i know generally mixing fats and carbs are bad but recently i have started eating wheat bread and dipping in in extra virgin olive oil with some nice spices.. it tastes great only takes about 30 secs to get in a few hundred cals tool and i can have shakes whenever i want...

since i have started doing this i am gaining muscle.. not fat.. and i have lots and lots of energy while training and while lifting..

generally its hard for me to add mass because of the amount of aerobic activity i do on a weekly basis but this is definately helping me out in a great way

what do you guys think?

its a generic type whole wheat bread.. no bad oils no sugars i think it has 80 cals per slice and 4 or 5 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein..

i really really like the extra energy and its soo quick and i can really add lots of cals this way :)

do you think that it really matters so long as its a decent wheat bread?

if you checked and there are no bad oils (including hydrogenated oils!) then you have my seal of approval.

As long as you are gaining muscle and not fat, don't change the prescription! Any diet you can stick to while moving towards your current goals is a good one to me.

Hell, it sounds like what they serve you at a nice Italian restaurant before dinner ;) sounds good to me hehe

drinking a little of one of those shakes you were talking about with the bread would be a good idea though.

what else do u eat??

i take in more carbs than most of you im sure but i do lots and lots of cardio via my judo training.. but my carb sources are always clean... wheat bread and rice and potatoes.. and most of the carbs come post workout pre workout and a bit in the am then they are spread out..

at work i eat a lot of sandwiches on wheat bread turkey/roast beef/ chicken salad.

at home its steak or chicken (2-3x a day) with different veggies.. corn/spinach/peppers/broccolli/potatoes

the only powdered protein i take in is whey and some egg here and there that i have left over and i have noticed no difference whatsoever from having different jugs of caesin/whey/egg and

right now i couldnt be happier.. im leaning up ever so slightly.. and im around 9% and every week the scale moves up 1-2lbs.. over the last month or two.. and i really have not had the time to dedicate to the gym .. which has recently changed so i hope that scale starts to move a bit more :)
