Watching the 80's basketball on ESPN classic. These teams could smoke the teams of today.

Jordan was the last true old school great. He knew all about sacrifice and dedication to the game, not the money. We'll see how stars like Lebron and Dwayne fair down the road.

If you transported those teams to today's game half the rosters would foul out in the first quarter.

Jordan truly loved the game and he used his skills to market himself for endorsements and kept his money fairly well diversified. I think Lebron james will actually fair better than most people expected.

People are starting to compare Nowitski to Bird. Not even close. Dirk can be taken out of a game with strong physical play. Bird was dangerous all the time in every way.

Dirk is an incredible shooter but Larry Bird's career 3 point % was insane. I think if Dirk actually bulked up and improved his inside game he would be deadly with his height and shooting ability. He needs to take it inside more like he did against the Spurs on the play that won them game 7.

He stands around too much waiting for his team to get him the ball. It's like he doesnt realize that he's being covered so closely that a steal would be likely. He has to go get the ball. He was basically taken out of the series for the most part against the Heat.
