Warning to the girls wanting to ride on the back of a sportbike...

:lmao: You are seriously delusional. There are many Harleys out there that are not only fast, but can also pop wheelies if the riders were so inclined. The crusier riders tend to be of a different mentality overall from crotch rocket riders though.

yeah, especially in the last 5-10 years. all your current harley riders are middle aged balding fattening men that were in the middle of a "mid-life crisis" and felt that a Harley would rejuvinate them and make them feel young again.

as i believe Sore Arms said in another thread, they are the "Jay Leno Bikers."

ok, i take that back...partially. not all Harley riders are like that.

there's a lot of them though. like a guy my buddy worked with...

this guy had Harley stickers all over his NISSAN truck, and would always proclaim how all the Japanese made were "piece of crap rice burners" (uh, ok dude, but you're driving a japanese truck??? ). i guess he ignored the fact that 1/2 of the harley is put together with japanese parts.

this guy had the stickers, t-shirts, hats, bandannas, boots, belt buckles, and even a Harley jacket 3 years before he bought a harley. he had never ridden a motorcycle before. so here's the classic case of someone talking a load of shit but they have nothing to base this "superiority" on except what they've been told by other riders who were obviously biased.

this guy finally goes and buys a Harley. it shows up at the dealership, and instead of riding it home, he has them load it into the back of his pickup and he hauls it home. then the bike sat in his garage for 2 weeks before he even attempted to ride it, and after that he rode it maybe once every other week.

that's the type of rider i'm talking about.

then there was a guy i worked with who rode a mid-80s suzuki cruiser, 500cc. me and him got along ok until the day he got his Fat Boy from the dealership. all of the sudden he had a nasty attitude towards me, even though i rode evey day just like him. i stopped even acknowledging his presence in the room shortly thereafter, because i got utterly sick of his "holier than thou" attitude that developed the DAY he rode that harley home. not once before had he talked down to me in terms of motorcycling until the day he got that overpriced bike.

those harley riders piss me off more than anything. it's also those riders that i enjoy telling Harley jokes to in order to piss them off. nothing seems to offend them more than that. just a little payback for how their attitude offends me.

not all are like that however, just the majority.

Although they might be balding, thank you excess testosterone, most of those I know are not fat. They are however, very well off and use riding as a diversion. Some of them would make you feel like Bart Simpson in a gym.

What will be interesting is to see how you will handle your mid-life crisis. You WILL have one, it's just a matter of what you do with it. And then find out if you look even half as good as we do now when you get to be our age. ;)

:lmao: I hear ya! I always giggle when I hear that. When I buy a new crusier it will be the Honda VTX or the Rune. That VTX kicks some major butt!!! ANd it's just a good looking bike. Plus it fits my physical size really well.
