1 case Mount Gay Rum (insert gay joke here)
1 case Gini pinot grigio
1 bottle GlenF scotch
1 bottle Dewars
7 bottles Sky Vodka (most behind the Gini and Chivas boxes)
1 bottle Desire (which I am keeping for looks)
1 bottle Godiva Chocolate
1 bottle Godiva White Chocolate


This second batch we have :

Tomorrow I go to the lesbian bar and get merlot and beer. (go figure)

100% donations. I did nothing for it.

I also Capital Grill, Hi-Life, Wine Cellar, and Alibi all donating appetizers. I went to Cheesecake Factory on Las Olas today and they are giving me 9 cheesecakes tomorrow.

My party is a benefit, so all the businesses that donated get a write off. Even the prizes they give out. And I got some slamming prizes to award this year. First place will get about $11,000 total.

It is my annual Easter Bonnet Party. A fund raiser for ShadowoodII, a shelter for women and children with HIV. Everyone comes and donates $50 and they create a very outrages Easter Bonnet Hat that is judged. Businesses donate prizes to give out for first, second and third places. When the prizes are worth a lot $$ you see some people taking the hats to extremes. Looks like an edition of Pimp My Hat. Hydralics, flames (real), live animals, etc.. is not uncommon to be worked into a theme.

This year the first place winner gets :

*Cruise for two from Nice, France to Rome, Italy. (same cruise I am going on in July. The travel agency donated the cruise. Value = $9000 for two people)

*Free first class airfare from Miami - Nice, Rome - Miami donated by the travel agency corporate office.

*1 year free admission for 2 to any Regal Cinemas in South Florida.

$50 bar tabs, 2 free dinners for two from Alibi

Dinner for 4 from Hi-Life

Same from Black Orchid

Dinner for 2 from Capital Grill

Dinner for 2, brunch for 4, $50 in bar tabs from Cathode Ray

Two free dinner for two from Cheesecake Factory

Brunch for 4 at Blue Moon Fish Co

50 free massages from massure at Royal Palms Guesthouse

Second and third place get the same as above except for the items prefaced with a " * "

Second place gets a weekend in Key West (yuck), no airfare anywhere and only 20 movie tickets.
Third place only gets 20 movie tickets. In addition to the rest listed below it.

Me. Of course.

This year, I am hoping that in addition to the $50 entry fee that people have already paid (I capped the list at 300, but 318 already RSVP'd, some queens can't take a NO) I will raise enough money for 3 stand alone propane generators for the shelters before hurricane season. Last year when we were without power for 2-3 weeks after Wilma, all the food spoiled and all the HIV meds that needed to be refrig'd were tossed out.

Couch? What couch? Fool my couches are custom made. From the frame to the fabric. I have someone come in take measurements of where they are going and relative to the size of the room. My couches are HAND BUILT from the wood and nails up to the cushions. There is not a piece of furniture in my house you can purchase anywhere except my mattress.

If you look to the far left in the first picture, you will see my little doggie treat jar I keep treats for my partners dobie in. When you open the top, it makes a barking sound and pisses her off. She doesn't get mad or anything. She just looks at me with contempt like she is thinking "what a cheesy fucking treat jar, I should kick your ass for that shit." Next to the treat jar is my wireless tv. I am a fucking tv addict. In terms of buying them. Every room in the house except the guest bath, has a tv in it.

In the second pic, if you look at the top of the bar shelf, the "lady in red" that is the Desire bottle that they gave me. It looks so neat, I have no intentions of opening it, I am going to keep it for myself. The bottle design is so seductive. I can imagine walking by there and hearing her soft voice carry like the gentle wind as she whispers in my ear.. "ooh I need a man tonight". And I keep walking and mumble "so do I bitch".

you ever had pyrat? I am not a rum drinker and have no idea what the quality of it is. I just told them, give me the expensive shit. Knowing damn good and well that after 10 oclock, those queens gonna be so fucking lit up they won't notice I put the nice shit under the bar and now serving Captain Morgan.

The desire bottles come with gold and black dresses too... don't think it tastes too good though.

All my parties year around are fundraisers. Even when I host the Wildfyre Society, those nude parties of 200-300 men are all a fundraiser as well. I only donate to Shadowood II though. Which pisses some queens off because they think me being gay and all - which I ain't gay - that I should make the donation to gay groups focusing on HIV. But the truth is that there are other organizations out there that work exclusively with gay men, so a gay man has no shortage of choices to go to. A woman or child however, they would have to go to government agencies and get busted to the back of line for god knows how long until their number is called and their appointments are made months later. Shadowood II is the only organization that works specifically for females and children.

It takes one night. That is all. I have to literally do nothing. The bartenders and clean up guys are "donated" by various bars and auctioned off as dates later in the night. All you have to do it just find one or two businesses to donate and let it take off.

Well, my house is only 1600 sq. ft, so it would have to be a small party, but once I get the place all finished...I may just do something like that. I like the Make A Wish Foundation..they do alot for the elderly and children. That would be so cool to have some fun for a good cause.

That bar is ok but....where's the rest of the booze?

I mean the sweet stuff! Cordials like amaretto, kahlua, bailey's, harvey's, schnapps, and kirsch that can be swilled like candy and smash harder. The godiva bottles look like the closest you've got.
