No, I dont think its that far of a jump to use KC as a representative sample of the attitude which plagues the black culture. I've since relocated and live in the Little Rock Arkansas area. Little Rock seems to be the invisible line between the midsouth and the dirty south. My experience hasn't been isolated. There was recently a 10 year follow up story done on some landmark investigative reporting/research in the Little Rock area having to do with gang violence which was started in 1995 (dont have the results handy, will try to find them). Because of it's strategic location along the intersection of Interstates 40 and 65, Little Rock has been a key location of major drug trafficking and gang violence in the midsouth.
Please explain the aspects which apply to the "spirited racial discussion." Just trying to get a clear understand of what you are saying.
Also, excuse my naievete, but can you explain to me what plagues the black culture and why are you mentioning a study that was done on gang violence ?
Any thoughts on why New Orleans was so poorly prepared for the hurricane ? Florida seems to always be better prepared for such a natural occurrence..what happened to New Orleans .
