is there a reason you dont barbell bench?
im really thinking with a setup adjustment you could not only get a tiny bit deeper, but also bring your chest up higher...
is your lower lumbar area flat on the bench?
its such a crappy angle to critique honestly...

I'm the same way. Fuck barbells. Dumbbell benching is so much more beneficial.

"Benching" is just a way of showing off how much you can bench... Who cares???

Building a good chest will come from benching dumbbells, and doing flys. Obviously you're already aware of that fact haha.

Only thing I ever use a barbell for is squats and occasionally shrugs.
 
And to the OP... I'm about the same size as you, and I can only do the 100lb dumbbells 8 times as of lately. 11 is pretty impressive. Didn't watch the video tho, can't view from my phone for some reason...

Also if your shoulder is bothering you... Try turning your hands at slight angle (with dumbbell benching) instead of completely perpendicular to the floor... It takes a lot of pressure off the shoulders. At least for me it does.

Yeah I do that. and I don't use full ROM

1. it is also a pretty damn good way to build your chest...
2. this thread is about benching, correct?
3. you seem to care enough to list your lift....

Watched the vid and want to give props regardless of the ROM etc. I'm recovering from an elbow surgery so I know what its like having to be careful and modifying your bench routine. I don't barbell bench either. Whats your age??

he's going to heavy to get the full ROM if he went ne lower he would drop the weight... seriously bro drop it to some 60's and get the full ROM and arch your back, keep your butt on the bench, and squeeze your traps together... the shoulder "impingement" is from benching with your shoulders low instead of by your ears
 
My incline dumbbell press is 90lbs 3rep. At 160lbs full ROM. Def go a bit lower in weight shouldn't have to go down much mayb 10lbs rep that full rom. If it's due to shoulder injury then you should find a different exercise maybe...
