What majestic level of education and world experience have you achieved btw?
16 countries, 39 major cities... spending extensive time in each. By extensive time, I mean longer than one month. An MBA certainly doesn't hurt education wise either. Have *you* got a fraction of this?
And yes, I applaud my government for protecting me from wacko's like this.
You seem to forget a few very simple things about the situation.
#1 All they had to do was comply and allow for an inspection. The ATF was not out there for a picnic.
#2 If they were so worried about themselves... they should have left. Some of them did. The smart ones. I mean, it is not like this happened over lunch time. They had 51 days.... DUH!!!
#3 As far as the children who died. Our guys did not go in there to kill children. They did not go in there to kill anyone. If you look at the television tape, you will see that they were firing as they RETREATED. Sorry, some parents let their children go free. Other's did not. It was those parents and not our guys who are responsible for their deaths.
#4 The capital murder charges were necessary because everyone at that point was a suspect. Sorry, can't let them just waltz away until everything is clear. Why do you think they were acquitted.
As far as being a snobbish Southern queen. Just because I live in South Florida, that does not make me Southern. I was not even born in the South for that matter. Snobbish, not really. Arrogant and confident, then yes. Which is not surprising considering the substance behind it.
As far as me saying I did not like their lifestyle. I never said that. I said I disliked THEM. They had NO LIFESTYLE. Don't you get it? A lifestyle is the consequence of a series of choices you make. They did NOT have a choice. They had a dictatorship. And do not try to compare the scenario of our or another government going out and rounding people up to kill. Please. They did not round these people up. They went to their little compound.
Specifically what did I not like about them or as you seem to be confused with - their lifestyle?
#1 Their "spiritual leader" was nothing more than a con man.
#2 Their spiritual leader followed ZERO principles of the Bible and Commandments.
Thou shalt not steal? He did it.
Thou shalt have no other god before me? He had them worshiping him as the second Christ.
Thou shalt make yourself into an idol of earth or else where? see above.
Thou shalt not commit adultery? oh boy.. did he ever.
#3 They stood by while this man married multiple of their children, slept with their children and used their children as objects to "strengthen" his image of a follower. Whoa, the law says I can't sleep with a 13 year old. Maybe if I claim to be a Spriitual Guidance Counselor I can get away with it.
#4 These people were defiant in the face of state and federal authority. Laws are here for a purpose. Were they above the law? If so, why aren't I? Why aren't you? Sorry, they had plenty of time to comply and instead they thumbed their noses at us. So we kicked their ass.
Fuck, this ain't rocket science. These were not law abiding people nor was their leader. They were accomplishes. Those children that burned.... their deaths hang over their parents heads for not letting them go... not ours.
