That is my today at work can’t focus for the life of me. I can wait tell Friday. I am off tell the new year!!!

Last night, I was doing the supervisor gig. I went to work, clocked in, made sure the medics had narcs for the night(took about 20 minutes) then drove the supervisor vehicle to my house(about 10 minutes from my headquarters) and took a 5 hour nap. I DID have my portable radio on in case they needed me.... but that's about it. Woke up, went to breakfast, bought and read my morning paper, clocked out. Went home. How's that for slacking? Geez. Wish I could have more nights like that.

Actually, just a couple. I was the supervisor, not the ONLY paramedic. I don't go to all of the calls. I only get called to assist if a crew gets into trouble(pisses off a doc), pediatric codes, or MCIs. NONE of that happened. People will always die, geez. There IS a right time. Peeps NEVER want to hear about the ones who lived.

i truly commend you and the job you do. for me, im WAYYYYYY to emotional to do your job. i truly want to be a doctor but not the life saving surgeon type. if i lost a patient during surgery i wouldnt handle it very well. same for your job, if i lose a patient on the way to the hospital id feel it was my fault. call me a puss but i cant do it.
