I am one of those now grown up school children who worked harder and pulled herself up out of poverty. I, unlike you, don't mind paying my fair share of taxes and giving other children the opportunities to live in a great country that cares for them and provides them a chance to attend good schools, get free lunch at school, maybe even a scholarship. That is part of being grateful to God for the good life that you have. To be a Christian, MrPlunkey, you sure have an overabundance of pride and little sense of charity.

You aren't? Weren't you giving AAP crap about being gay and spewing a bunch of hatred? Maybe I have you confused with one of your ilk. You tend to all run together in my mind.

The government wasnt created so it can do things for us, it was created to give us an environment where we can do things for ourselves.

Yeah, in order to defend an institution you obviously have to be a member of it in the first place. Are you absolutely sure you are a lawyer?

And yeah, your type tends to run together in my mind too -- so no worries there either.

That sounds like an ingenious economic system.

They should really give it a try in another country and see how it works out.
 
That's the difference between a wealthy person and a wannabe baller AKA poor guy trying to look rich. One has nothing to prove the other is just trying to raise his status.

To do anything less would be greedy, mean-spirited, and non-Christian.

I think this is where we dont see eye to eye.

I have no problem whatsoever giving back. I give more back than many people I know...and not only because it keeps my taxes down.

What I have a problem with is the government making these decisions for me.

I should be able to give back the dollar amount I want to the organizations I choose to support.
