they both have been used for a long time for inflammation

BUT i will tell you that most people suffer from major inflammation and the #1 reason is too much food, drugs, and stress.. coupled with not enough sleep.. until you fix these issues you will not fix the problem
 
Both are anti-inflammatory but as mentioned above if you are feeling inflamed it can be from your diet and or lifystyle. Even dairy has a large inflammatory reaction in the body.
 
Both are great options. Why pick just one?

Turmeric + ginger + fish/krill/seal oil would be an AWESOME natural anti-inflammatory supplement stack
