Training women

Depends on the female and her goals. I've trained women and had them do snatches, cleans, deadlifts, and squats. And i'm talking barbell. The best trainer at my gym has his female clients over on the olympic platform. The others have theirs doing tricep kickbacks and dumbell curls.

Guess which females get the better results?

Of course it depends on goals but if they want a tight butt and thighs (like most women) then teach them to squat and squat deep.

Also frequency needs to be high. No once a week BB bullshit. If they have 3 days with you then do upper/lower rotating so one week upper gets hit twice and the next lower gets hit twice.

If you want to be really good have them do 10 minutes of interval cardio followed by 20 minutes of steady state on at least 2 of the days they don't see you. You will whip them into shape quickly like this.

98% of gym trainers appear to be pretty worthless. They take the women around the machines, chat it up, and that's it. Don't be one of them. Get results for your clients.

Hey guys. My wife is hitting the gym after a while and she doesnt want any puffy things. she asked me to train her, so can someone that has experience with women training send me a good training program. I am currently working on the Bill Starr 5x5 intermidiate. can someone send me or advise me with a good program that will include squats,deadlifts etc for women? Thanks for any response.
 
this routine is for a room with no machines, sometimes it gets too busy in the gym.

i dont know of any tricep exercises you could do with a dumbbell, the french curl when you hold it behind your head and press it over your head?

Close grip bench, just finish off bench with a narrower grip.
 
Breath your opinion sounds great. with a frequency of mon-wed-friday for lifts what do you reccomend? i really think she must shock her body with strong exercises like squat, deadlift, dumbell presses, military press etc. what can it be a good training program with these exercises, including sets reps etc? sorry for asking again but i really ant to help her and not spend her money on stupid and wothless trainers.

What's her stats, goals, level of flexibility? Need that to determine exercise selection and rep ranges.
 
ironwings might be able to help you out here she does alot of circuit work but she hasnt been online in a while maybe she is a bit busy...
 
I have my wife doing my 5x5 routine with me and she is getting better results than she ever has before. She can deadlift her bodyweight 5x and guess what...she didn't turn into ronnie coleman.
 
hey breath that sounds awesome bro. im gonna have an individual meeting with all my clients and let them know how im gonna train them, hopefully i dont scare them away with all my compound exercises lol but ill explain to them that doing circuit 3x a week llifting the 5lb db's each time

As soon as they feel that tightness in their thighs and glutes, there will be no issues. They will know. After 4 weeks and that butt starts sitting back up a little (like it did when they were 16), you'll be getting referrals.
