Okay so between hockey at night, and work during the days. My training has gotten all f'd up. I still have 3-4 days to train but just all spread out. Go back to the 5x5? Also some times I only have 3 days in a row which is a mofo doing 5x5.

What if I went with squat, bench, dead, arms every work out?? Is that enough to cover full body?? Total of 25 sets, 125 reps.

Also I was thinking about trying 5 mins of HIIT every 5 sets? That would give me 30 mins of HIIT per work out.
 
Just spread out a 3 days split for how you are training and rotate it through.

Do 1-2 sets to fail per body part.

If you get in 3 days to train you have done the entire body...if 4 days then you can go to your first day to repeat.

Bottom line REST REST REST so you dont overtrain. Back off the legs a little if need be as well.
 
Say if I can't make it to the gym for 5 days. Would I just continue with a 3 day split or restart it cause I'm all rested up. Also instead of doing 5x5, just warm up than do 2 heavy sets of 8-10, than onto next body part?
 
Yep. Its not ideal but you will do well regardless. And take eac set to failure after warm ups.

He sounds like an in-season athlete. If this is the case, I wouldn't have an in-season athlete doing anything but the utmost basics and never taking any set to failure.
 
So this is what I tried

5 min HIIT
5x5 Squats
5 min HIIT
5x5 Bench
5 min Hiit
5x5 Row
5 min Hiit

So far tonight I'm dead tired. Not sore just wore out. I got hockey tomorrow night so hopefully I'm not sore. I kept the weights fairly light. 250 squat max, 155 bench, 110 row.
