I am putting together a new cd for training and need a few more quality pump up tunes, anyone have any suggestions.

Sometimes I prefer "old school" music when I work out. Something like that one song from the movie Rocky. That one song "Eye of the tiger" by who the hell knows....stuff like that. Not necesarily 80's music but Journey and bands like that are good.
If you want to go the contempory route then I usually listen to a lot of alternative. I like Rhomstine-they are a German band, Creed, Eve 6, Limp Biscuit, The "Gone in 60 Seconds, Matrix, and Fast and the Furious soundtracks are bad ass. Blink 182, etc. Techno or Electronic music is also good if you are into that sort of thing.

gimme some names... I am hungry for some brutal ass punks, I mean punk music... I used to listen to hardcore a couple of years ago, but my tastes have changed a bit.. I listened to the likes of coalesce, integrity, shai hulud, 25 ta life, groups of that nature..

i belive all these bands to be punk bands.......there seems to be a bigger and bigger divide between harcore and hardcore punk (with hardcore being second rate jump metal..may as well listen to limp bizkit or some weak ass band like that with no passion or lyrics)

biohazard are rich tattooed metal kids, that grew up listening to agnostic front. they play a fake type of hardcore.....almost like they are doing covers.

that being said i do like many biohazard songs.....that cleansing song is cool as well (that and the song about competition in the scene are standout tracks)

but they arent a hardcore band, they are a dramatized rap metal band with faster bits.

and influences can be seen and heard.....

but hardcore is a world wide community, a message, a lifestyle, a frame of mind, and attitude. its about brotherhood sister hood, unity, friendship, support, music (i remember when DO IT YOURSELF meant something)

so many bands claim to be "hardcore" but are just metal bands.

Hardcore is a major part in my life, being involved heavily in the scene, playing in bands travelling hours just to see (or play in) 4 bands play at a shitty venue......
i some what hurts me to see a cheap bastardised version of every thing i hold dear being sold as something its not.
(kinda like when the love of my life left me to become a floozy)


I dont care if bands happen to sound like a hardcore band.......just when its being sold like that.

no offence to you Gixxer......im just ranting and letting off a little steam.
every band has some sort of merit and i give props to anyone who plays in a band and has done it tough.
