Hey all you strongman/women:
I'm planning on competing in my first strongman comp, the music city strongman showdown, in june. Now, since I'm a college student in Nashville and have absolutely nowhere to store equipment like a yoke/tire/log, what would be good ways to simulate these events? I've read up a bit, and it seems like hanging chains from a bar is the only good way to simulate the yoke. I also plan on doing a lot of sandbag training, simply to get used to pulling weight straight from the ground, as i'll need to do in the tire flip. Any other ideas?
Also, if anyone in the area wants to get together and train, let me know, i'm up for it.
Thanks for the help guys, I'm gonna keep searching and I'll let you know what I find.
