Training for Nashville Strongman Comp

Hey all you strongman/women:

I'm planning on competing in my first strongman comp, the music city strongman showdown, in june. Now, since I'm a college student in Nashville and have absolutely nowhere to store equipment like a yoke/tire/log, what would be good ways to simulate these events? I've read up a bit, and it seems like hanging chains from a bar is the only good way to simulate the yoke. I also plan on doing a lot of sandbag training, simply to get used to pulling weight straight from the ground, as i'll need to do in the tire flip. Any other ideas?

Also, if anyone in the area wants to get together and train, let me know, i'm up for it.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm gonna keep searching and I'll let you know what I find.

You need to email Ryan Brown. He is promoting the contest and has the equipment at his gym there in Nashville. I live 2 hours away and Ryan and I are in the process of putting together another Kentucky Traning Day where everyone drives/flyes in to train for a Saturday. I have A LOT of equipment to train with...and am looking sometime early April.

Cheese and I train every Sunday at 2:00...you are welcome here to train with us. I believe that Ryan is going to use my stones, yoke, and log at his contest anyway...:)
