Thanxgiving eve night a few NYPD guys came into the bar. The four of them tried to push through me and I pushed them back and got ready to throw. They were telling me that bc there NYPD they should never have to pay. BC they sacrifice their lives and lost friends in 9/11.
My response. I lost a career, the best agent possible, and some friends in 9/11. Fuck you and fuck your NYPD.
They paid the cover came in and started commenting on the fact that they shouldnt pay. I took there money and held it in my hand. As the four of them were leaving I threw it in the big mouths face. I told him to take his money bc it wasn't any good there.
I have no repsect for people that act that way. especiialy cops.

Cops are just like anybody else. Half of them are morons, but half of them are very intelligent. It just takes one bad apple to ruin a bunch though.

well concerning bars/clubs, I guess it's courtesy. When bouncing I was told by the owner that cops would never, ever pay here. Reason ? They could bust his ass for any god damn reason including minors, irregular bottles or whatever. In fact they can. I'm surprise NYPDs make only 20-30k a year. Damn here a poor patrol officer can easily make 60k a year.....

Im very close to a few local police officers in my town who are great people,On the other hand I have watched people get on there bad side and be tossed around.

I have no respect for traffic cops.
They make their living by inconveniencing people who are not criminals.
They think they are above the law.
They are blue-collar workers telling their employers (taxpayers) what to do.
Their salaries are a misappropriation of tax dollars.
And quite frankly, that whole "we risk our lives every day" deal is fucking bullshit. The US Dept. of Labor reports that garbage men are 3x as likely to die on the job than cops. Fuck traffic cops and fuck the public schools they went to that didn't give them the education to get a real job.

Might be a surprise for those who know me but in fact I don't really have respect for traffic cops. it's another mentality, like a sect. You're either made for that or not. Even if this will sounds as a mistake I applied 2 years ago for the Montreal police dep. and the provincial police. Surprisingly I failed the interview lol Now I have something much better related to law enforcement. Thanks God i was rejected !
Also I don't like the "rookie" excuse. I expect them to act with the highest standard of profesionalism. I expect them to train, be in top shape, go to the shooting range twice a week, read as much as they can on related topics ect......

If your job was to psychologically torture people you'd be an asshole too i bet. it probably changes a person inside.
Even though its unpopular to say it, everyone has feelings. When the cops kick your door down & handcuff you to arrest you for a crime (violent or not), you will be deeply traumatized. When a cop enters a room people are happy, when he leaves people are crying & afraid. It probably fucks with peopel inside & forces them to justify themselves (i.e., we have a dangerous job, we protect society, etc), doing that to other people.
plus, cops are there to take control of a situation. They probably can't do that while being buddy buddy with everyone.

How about the fact that you were speeding, he told you he paced you and regardless of the fact you are to be paying attention to your driving and not what the cop is doing behind you! Your lucky he didn't give you a ticket for innatentive driving as well.

Any cop using 9/11 as an excuse to get out of paying a $10 cover is despicable. Hey I like cops and for the most part I have no prob with them but you don't use a terrorist attack and the death of over 3000 people freebe to do what you want. Get your shit straight man. Warik explain to me how a job that requires you to wear a bullet proof vest and a gun a job of no more risk than you or I. Does your job require the wearing of Kevlar. 230 police officers died in the line of duty in 2002. Oh, and by the way around 60 something police and 350 firemen died on 9/11. Why cause it was their job to run in the WTC and save lives for 30k a year. But then again your probably right as I'm sure there were at least 400 hot dog venders who put their lives on the line that day to by dropping the relish and rushing in.

No, like you i share a disgust for powertripping police officers. Many do not go into the field to be like that but after being desenitised by snoop dogg wanna bes and other turn out that way. Barely anyone goes into a profession that is potentially lethal for fun. of course some do have a power issue. I almost get into fights at the jail with uniformed cops who bad mouth my agency because we all have degrees, some j.d. degrees, masters and like me 3 degrees. I believe all cops should have a minimum of a 4 year degree. How can one enforce the law and change others lives if they hace not even studied law at a collegiate level or at least have been exposed to many different academic fields, race cultures etc thru college. anyhow i am in the field to help people and yes it is very dangerous with what i do but i am making the city safer for our youth and senior citizens, preventing drugs from changing people into zombies, stopping repeat violent offenders from reoffending. WHen you guys make generalized statements about something from observingit pisses me off. I work in a speacilized unit with 10 people. 100% of them do not powertrip and are only in the field to help cause we get paid shit for what we do. Hell department store salespeople to me are the snobbiest. can we be friends now?

Let me regress a bit. I agree that power tripping cops are dickheads, and yes, I have dealt with them because of my size. But....to take joy in killing a cop is what pissed me off. I used to be a cop in LA and it was a great experience after the military. I was a LT. in the Army and do have a degree by the way, and decided to go into Law Enforcement. I wanted to make a difference, but soon realized that was unrealistic in LA. Due to my size and variety of experiences, the personal protection thing took off and was much more profitable.
I take pride in once being a police officer and actually miss it. I was not a power tripper and never really had an issue with power tripping because I've always been an athlete and larger. I never had a use of force complaint in 5 years.
When I said I wanted to beat people, it was simply a flipant comment, but a frustrated statement. I am so tired of these war protesters and the police having to deal with these idiots on a daily basis is irritating.
I have heard cops in New Orleans are the worst and quite corrupt and I am sorry for that. Out west, most agencies require a 4 year degree and should. I am sorry you have had such a bad experience in your life with the police and I am sorry that you think police are so worthless.
With the war going on and being a veteran, I am just tired of people questioning our government, our police and our armed forces.
Please have a better day and I wish I wouldn't have started this little battle, I am a bit sensitive. The police in other parts of the US are definitely different.

As far as the personal protection goes, it is quite profitable. Having to keep track of expenses and the fact that tax time kills you, (if you are honest) it is definitely worth it. Was making about $70K when I left LA, now I am busy as I want to be at $200 an hour. Most of these guys will pay you under the table, so your have to keep track pretty close so you don't get audited.
I see you are in Vegas too. All kinds of business there for you. VIP's are coming in there hourly. Once you get the connections, you will be busier than you want to be. I have a budy there that is turning clients down all the time. Once people get to know you, the word gets out.
It is self serving though and not as fulfilling as saving someone's life or making a difference, which it sounds like you are. Definitely a question of what is more important to you.

Well there are a few good ones, but I would recommend, H&K's Executive Protection course. Bill Scott Racing in Virgina or "BSR" has a great one-week driving course designed for bodyguards. EMT cert is important, especially if you are dealing with exect's rather then other VIP's.
If you are a certified police officer, try to keep that cert updated so you can carry concealed on domestic flights.
Obviously a martial art is mandatory. I recommend Jujitsu or ground fighting. You need to train with it a lot though, not a class you can go to for a week. It needs to become second nature.
Anyway, I hope that was helpful enough. Obviously there is much more, but those are the highlights.

I was NYPD for 5 years and here is the synopsis of the cops. Most cops are disgruntle and jealous. Angry about nothing other than the fact that they are there. Jealous about any other cop who is doing better or trying to. There was a cop who opened a side business and other cops (friends) actually plotted against him to screw his business up. Attitude on the streets. No matter who you are your name is “asshole”. You are treated as such. Show a mark of intelligence and you’re a “wise ass”. This makes you an asshole that just bought some problems for yourself.
I saw corruption and shit that would make you run to another country. Supervisors even witnessed this and just looked away because it never happened.
Do cops want everything for free? The answer is YES! Will they do anything for it? NO! Do you get extra protection? NO! If you tell them to screw off will they do anything about it? NO!!! I generally dont have a problem with cops.
MY problems in the past have always been with rookies and women cops especially.
I pulled into a convienience store once where they were all gathered as they were about to do some type of bust.
Long story short is a rookie cop and his partner a women started busting my balls. The other cops were like "let it go" to them but no they pursued it.
In My opinion the only reason they busted my balls was because they were too chicken shit to be part of the other stuff they were supposed to be doing and wanted an excuse to get out of there.

Commercial fisherman on-the-job death rates are 15-16x higher than that of police officers. They don't wear bullet-proof vests. There are numerous other occupations that have a higher on-the-job death rate than police officers.

How many homes have been burglarized and the residents killed because the cops didn't show up in time?
How many armed robberies?
How many traffic accidents because of a reckless (RECKLESS, not speeding) driver?
Basically, how many times has a cop successfully done something to PREVENT/STOP a crime besides hand out a ticket?

The only cops I really have any respect for are detectives/investigators, etc... Why? Because they have a respectable job and they do it. Their job is to investigate crimes and find the guilty parties... not to run around the streets and give tickets to people who are doing nothing wrong.

Warik it is true that commercial fisherman (actually I heard it was the crabmen) have a higher death rate on the job than cops but they also bring in over a 100K a year and they only work 6-8 months of the year. But their not protecting the ungrateful public. Look I admit their are plenty of bad cops out their but their are plenty of good cops too. The problem with are society is we are too cynical and the media thrives on bad news. When a cop fucks up its national news, "look at this pig bastard". But they never really talk about all the prevented crimes cops deal with. As for traffic cops, I'm to crazy about them but they do serve a purpose. Let's face it if you have a child and some drunk asshole decides to go through a school zone a 70mph you want a cop there. As much as people preach they hate cops their the first ones we call when we need help.

The cops' jobs are to STOP THEM, not stop the sober guy who is doing 10-15mph over the speed limit because there is nobody on the road ahead of him and driving conditions are optimal.

I never said speed traps save lives I agree that speed traps are stupid and are for revenue. I'm also not sticking up for traffic cops. I had a chance to become a state trooper, I turned it down. Why? Because I didn't want a career in writing tickets. Thats not what I wanted to do. I believe cops are needed for a more crucial purpose. We do need traffic cops, we cant just have people driving likes its the autobon. As for the fisherman's salary it is relevent because we would definatly have a shortage of fish if they only paid 20-30k a year for that job.

NYPD posted numbers are package numbers! They include transportation that you do not have to pay to and from work. Night differential. Medical. etc etc etc
When I was on, top pay was 44. I don't know where 32 came from. Maybe that is the number without the bennies worked in. Of the 44 I saw 38 WITH OT in there.
32 seems a little low... Even with their 2% raise every few years.
The job blew! Too many tough guys in blue that weigh 140 pounds.

The vast majority of cops are backwater, uneducated losers who serve as nothing more than the "work mules" for the much more educated, powerful and wealthy Judges, prosecutors, etc. because Judges and prosecutors are jack shit without cops actually hitting the pavement and enforcing the laws. However, cops themselves are scumbags for being mindless drones who care nothing about righteousness, morals, hypocrisy of the laws they are enforcing, etc. All they say is "I'm just doin' my job", "the law is the law", or the classic, "tell it to the Judge". 90% of cops, prosecutors and judges should be gutted out like deer, in public no less as to publicly show what your reward will be for terrorizing the common citizenry with hypocritical, unrighteous and outright stupid laws (like the ban on AAS). I just hate cops even for the way they look: having those stupid, $2.00 K-Mart, military-style haircuts as they try to pretend they are serving on active duty in Iraq, when they are just some small town, two-bit, fat-assed, donut-eating machines.
