Ok, I see a lot of you have put oats, I had never actually tried oats before so I bought a bag the other day (looks like wood chippings mixed with sawdust) and I was just wondering how do you people eat yours, with milk, water, on their own...etc?
Thanx!

With hot water, a little splenda or ANPB
sometimes, I'll also throw my protein powder in there and eat it or I throw the oats in my shake and drink them

now steel cut is anotther matter.....takes a real sdience to cook these puppies just right and if you switch microwaves, the whole process is tossed out the window and you have to experiment all over again.....mine is like 4.5 minutes on high, then 1.5 on high again (after a little cooling), the 2.5 minutes on 75%.....add 2 scoops of protein, some splenda and ready to rock!

I let 2 or 3 cups of steel cut soak overnight. The next day they are tender, so you don't have to cook them that long. I rarely need to cook them, I usually just pour hot water and presto. Give it a shot if you're pressed for time.

2 to 3 cups???? In one sittting, or for the day? I eat 1/2 cup of oats, 1.5 cups of h2o, and feel stuffed............well, maybe 3/4ths....
