Ok, got a tooth pulled Thursday morning... they told me not to workout until Monday because a blood clot might break in there and cause a dry socket.

However, my tooth (or lack there of) doesn't hurt at all now, isn't bleeding... so I'm thinking of working out tomorrow evening. I got some really bad news today and kinda need the "relief"

WHat do you all think?
The dentist suggested 1-3 days off physical activity... leading me to believe if it doesn't hurt, it's ok..

Was it a wisdom tooth? I got 3 of mine pulled and they had to cut them out becuase they were empacted (sp) anyways it only took a week to recover so 3 days should be enough for ya.

Well, I took off yesterday and today... it was a regular tooth, and no pain at all really... no bleeding.

If i wait until tomorrow evening, it is 2 and a half days... I'm just curious if anyone knew anything about the blood clots and shit in the mouth after you get your tooth pulled...

Well if it's a plain old tooth then it shouldn't take long for it to clot. You had gauze in there for a while right? Or did you take it out before hand. I'm pretty sure it's clotted by now.

I had my gums graphed, which is basically gum replacement surgey when they take flesh from the your palate on the top of your mouth and attach it to your gums. I brushed my gums away from brushing my teeth to hard. Anyways I lifted the next day and I was suppose to take 3-4 days off too. I had a little bleeding in my mouth when I lifted, but nothing bad. Now that I think about it, it may have been smarter to just have taken those few days off. Anyways, I don't think it will be to dangerous to lift, especially if you don't go really heavy. The high blood pressure that could cause may cause bleeding or clotting problems. It may just be better to be safe then sorry and just take atleast a day or two off.

I wouldn;t stres lifting too much, just make sure you keep it clean, ie: no food gets in!!!!! The last thing you want is for them to reopen it to clean it out becasue of an infection.

yeah, if I workout tomorrow evening, it'll be about 2.5 days since the "pulling". They suggested 1-3 days... I really don't have any pain at all in the tooth, no bleeding.

Yeah, I had gauze on it for the first day or so... or at least like 8 hours afterward...

The thing they said was the "clot" could break? and if that happens, it's called Dry Socket? I mean, I took off yesterday and today, and most of tomorrow... I don't take off for when I get the flu or other colds... I'm like "what the fuck is a tooth pull?" right?
