Biceps have always been my big problem. In the past they would simply not grow. My arms were always smaller in comparison with the rest of my body. It always bothered me. So i tried many things. heavier weight didn't work and neither did lighter weight, more reps and less reps, nothing made them grow with the rest of the body.
I was always afraid of overtraining therefore i never delved into arnold type workouts until recently. I decided to suck it up and make the jump, and it worked. I finally had biceps. My physique was finally symmetrical and this is what i did:
I found a mixture of training heavy and light in the same workout.
standing db curl alternating 4 sets of 10 at heaviest possible weight without cheating
db preacher curl 4 sets heavy weight max reps. I took the heaviest weight i could do 10 reps with then went 5 reps over that assisted
seated incline db curl get a heavy weight rep out, drop it for a few seconds, pick it up rep out and repeat until you cant do anymore
standing bb curl... closer grip with straight bar, arms tucked in. Start with 2 reps and make your way up to 12 reps with lower weights
regular seated db curl... light weight. do two sets really slow on the way up, pause at the most upward position for 10 seconds, really slow down, pause half way for 5 seconds. repeat 2 sets and lower weight and keep lowering the weight until 5 lbs seems heavy.
Thats it, sounds like overtraining but i just do it once a week. and in the last month i gained a half an inch on my bi's naturally.
Im getting ready to start my cycle so we'll see what happens
This wont work for everyone but it gave me what i needed to grow so try it, if you dont like it, dont do it. But if you're biceps wont grow at least give it a try for a month
