titan fury shirt and a few other ?'s

Solid,

I understand your frustration, and a lot of people agree with you, but it is not as bad as it may at first seem.

Basically there are two different sets of shirt rules. IPF/USAPL, and NASA are strict single ply only orgs. No modifications, no open back, no denim. Just out of the box poly. Make sure if you lift here that the shirt is IPF approved. Many popular shirts are not IPF approved.

Then there is basically everyone else. Everyone else (with some exceptions, I am sure) allows denim, and allows double layers. WABDL allows open back, but the neck cannot be cut. WPO, APF, APA, IPA, Son Light, INSA, all allow open back shirts, and double is fine, denim is fine.

Nobody anywhere that I know of allows 3 layers, and nobody I know of allows canvas. The one exception to these rules is probably the IPA. I am not lucky enough to live where the IPA puts on meet, so I don't know as much about them as I would like.

I think you should decide if you are going the USAPL route or the other route. If you go the other route, then make sure all your equipment is WPO approved, and you should be cool.

thanks benchmonster, I dont know if ill do a usapl meet or not. in all honesty my future plans are to be in the wpo meets. looks like i have some decisions to make.

Lets here some more hype...this new design has me curious.

Well, I'm getting a shirt from both Karins and Titan. So in a couple months I'll be able to tell you a little on how they work, for me. I will say that these are my first bench shirts, so the going might be rough for a while.

nope sry hannibal, just didnt want everyone asking the same stuff about it.

Nah....I understand...I'm just waiting for someone who has actually USED the shirt to post about it.

quoted from Steve Spinneli(larry miller is a 165 lifter who uses the fury)
i tried larry millers shirt on after his 535 bp on thursday, just to check the fit. i lift in the 198 class and the shirt was a 42. traditionally, if i could get the shirt on over my shoulders, i could work the weight down to my chest. with this fury, the shirt went right on, but i took 500 out, and when my elbows got to parallel w/ my shoulders, that was it. i know the fabric is strong, but i didn't want to blow the shirt out. is there anyone out there in the 81's-220's who has one of these shirts yet? if so what size did you get. i think the chest plate was just too small for me. all in all, i think this shirt is a major break through for benchers. the ease that you can get into it and how comfortable it is will be a major plus on meet day. no more 5 guys hanging off you before your flight wearing you and all of your training partners out before you lift. i've put alot of shirts on guys over the years, and this is by far the easiest i've seen yet. it only takes one guy. i'm glad to see that pete was finally able to get this shirt out. i look forward to putting up some BIG numbers in my new shirt.
