^ thats sucks..I think my tire cost something like $400...I have a 2004 Maxima 17" ....who sells those tires cheap?

If you're replacing only one tire, get the same kind as the other three, do NOT mix and match tire brands and types, even if they're the same size.

Lotta Maximas seem to be coming with Continental Contact Touring tires these days. Whatever it is, you should be able to find an exact match at www.tirerack.com.

But if this is a 2004 car, maybe there's a limited warranty on the tires? Couldn't hurt to look in your warranty information to see.

Here's a shot of the page from Tire Rack with what is probably the replacement for your tire:

dude somebodys getting you i have 20's and they only cost $210 and no the side wall has torn a belt thats why the buble is there replace as fast as possible

this is turning into a pain in the ass...when I bought the car, these mo mos forgot to give me my tire key, I had to find a Nissan dealership in the area..the guy there was real nice, he used his universal key to unlock the tire this way I could get it replaced...I've been calling around places..no one can get tires in until Tuesday...I was wrong, I actally have an 18"...to replace..get rid of the tire..balance..tax everything, with all said and done I am getting prices from $280 & change to $300...unreal!

So now I guess I will call AAA to put my donut on so I can get home (hr and half drive) How far can you go on those things? how fast can you drive?

Thanks for your help guys...I'm also going to take a look at that website....

55mph on the donut is about all you wanna push.

is it just a visable bubble or can you feel it while driving? i wouldn't recommend driving on it period, whether you can feel it while driving or not, but if it's just visable and you can't feel it while driving, then you should be ok to crawl to a shop to get a replacement as long as it's local. if you can feel it while driving, definetly not a good idea to drive the car. IF you have a total brain fart and decide to drive it anyway (against all advice) make sure it's on the rear and not the front. you don't want a front tire blowout at any speed over 15mph.

i had a tire bubble in the middle of the tread once. i felt it on my way to work and couldn't do anything about it because, well, i had to go to work. my spare tire had just blown out a week earlier and i hadn't gotten a chance to replace it yet.

2 guys i worked with were going to see AC/DC that night. the one calls me and said his buddy gave him a 3rd ticket and asked if i wanted to go. HELL YEAH. so i figured fuck it, i'll take care of the tire tomorrow on my day off.

10 mile drive home, tire kept getting worse til it finally blew 2 miles from home. dude had to pick me up instead of meeting me back at work. no biggie though.

the AC/DC show was worth going to. definetly. that was in 96 so they were still kind of active on stage. i'd hate to see them now...they probably all need walkers.

Don't go over 55 with the space saver spare. Is it on the front, or the rear? Be extra careful when cornering, and brake gingerly.

it's prices like those that make me never want anything larger than 15" rims on my cars. her civic has 13" rims, mine has 15".

i'd like to put a plain jane set of aftermarket silver aluminum rims on my car instead of the stock steelies, simply because i hate hubcaps. rims are just so damn expensive though. it's one of those far off visual improvements i wanna do. maybe i'll get lucky and come across someone with a used set for cheap.
