Thyroid test results

I just got a call from my doc, here are my labs

TSH-2.587 range is .35-4.94
Free T4-.5 range is .7-1.48 (LOW)

I've been hypothyroid for 2 years now, started on Synthroid, no improvement. tried Armour, no improvement
Currently since Sept. 2004 taking 25 mcg Cytomel onlyand feel 100% better.

The doc. wants to combine 100 mcg. of Synthroid and 25 mcg. of Cytomel.

One thing to keep in mind is not only the production of T4 (or lack there of) but also the conversion of T4 to T3. In some cases the body cannot convert enough. So no matter how much T4 you dump in, it anit going to improve your sitch.

Just went thru lots of tests myself. My doc has me on l-thyroxine made at a compounding pharmacy. started with .5 grain to 1 grain to 1.5 grain now. Feel lot better.

I believe it is a combo. I just know that I feel sooooo much better. I thought I was the living dead there for a while (I am 42) so now that I have ramped up - my energy level is what it was before - it's great. 100% improvement!
