Thought I would share - just got these photos back

IP - You're a pretty girl...surely you don't need people to tell you this. I refuse to believe you are not smart enough to know that you were going to get hit on after posting them. I'm not going so far as to say it was your aim, but you aren't THAT naive.

Oh I am not saying I didn't know that would happen but frankly, I don't care. If people are going to act that way I'll either have fun arguing with them or ignore them. I actually (believe it or not) posted these because they are quite a few peeps on here that I really enjoy chatting with and I figured this would be nice. If someone else posted photos like this, I would love it. I love pictures.

But no, I did know this would happen - I just don't care. Guys are guys but I like hearing from the ladies.

True. But do people really have fun on message boards because I can think of much more interesting things to do as well.

I like the intellectual aspect of arguing. It's very fun to me. I Like to hear how they manage their arguments and support them, etc. Like law, I guess.

Probably aren't an attractive individual thus the reason for posting no picture of yourself or information about yourself which is why you try to criticize others. Perhaps it makes you feel better?

Thank you. Someone else said that earlier. I've heard it often but I don't see it. That and Demi Moore - don't see that either. Ehh who knows.. LOL. I look like moi.. haha. ;)

I get what you are saying to the assclown that made that comment but I wanted to say something:

I consider myself attractive or at least better than average ; but I dont post pics or any information about myself because I'm a little secretive and a privacy freak. Do you know how many people come to this site? I dont have a myspace either. I'm just saying ; not everyone is just so willing to put their life on the internet like that.

To me, this is not my life on the internet. I have one pic in my profile and then I posted a handful here - no websites leading people anywhere, etc. I don't mind if people see me in pictures (well to a certain extent - I dont take nasty photos or naked photos, etc). But I don't mind having my pictures be seen as I feel appropriate and this was just a fun photoshoot and I loved the pics. That is as far as I will go. Other than Peter I wouldn't post up my family or friends, etc. I guess we all have our own opinion.

I haven't said or posted anything on here that would worry me. But thanks for sharing. :)

I was just trying to explain that just because someone does NOT post pics does not mean they are afraid of rejection from their appearance.

Ohhh so sorry. LOL. No no I was just referring to that one guy because he was annoying me. I don't make a judgment based off of "just not seeing any pics up." I made that comment because I combined other information about him as well (for instance, his frivilous comments). Hehe. Thanks for clearing that up.

Haha. Sometimes I'm the opposite - my brain moves to fast (NOT in a good way) so then I type before I completely understand everything. LOL. I have issues. ;)

Taking care of my b/f dogs because he is out of town visiting his dad w/ his sister and then later I am meeting up with my dad, step mom, step brother and sister, and my other 2 brothers, for my dad's b-day dinner. Fun times.

I was going to work out but ehh.. decided to take a pass. LOL.

Yes, you can see that they posted a thread, which is a problem with theignore function. I don't even want to see that they had posted. I wish it worked like coventry where you can be blissfully ignorant of their entire existence.

Naah, But the first person who answered your question is on my ignore list. You can see who is on ignore by looking at a person's profile. Ignored persons will be seen in the enemies list.

I've wondered why some people seem to have such an aversion to posting pictures on the web
and I'm talking about regular pics,not nude or risque
why?
you go outside and see and interact with people in the real world
what's the big deal if you have pictures on the web

are you worried about people saying shit about your pictures on the web
why?
are you worried about people saying shit about you in the real world

I'm not directing my comments to anyone in this thread in particular
just something I've wondered about

we're in the midst of a technological-lifestyle revolution with this net and all it's possibilities
IMO the net is opening up and expanding interaction between people
and far more than TV ever did,or radio,or even the telephone
 
BTW you two are a great looking couple
the sort of couple that looks good together and strangers smile at you
waiters or waitresses are glad to get your table because they know it's going to be hassle free

I think it's strange as well. Maybe they don't want to be associated with their e-persona or e-called out by someone who knows them in real life, so they don't keep their identity hidden. Who knows.

I don't want the attention posting pictures would bring - good or bad. My anonymity here is something I really enjoy, and it's refreshingly different from my real life interactions. For guys, it's different, but for a female to post pictures on a website as male dominated as this one, it's asking for a thread like this. I don't mind privately sharing what I look like with a few select people that I have interacted with, but I've asked those people not to say anything publicly because I prefer to fly under the radar a bit.

Thank you. :) And I agree, too. I don't get the big deal about posting "normal," pictures. That doesn't mean I'm giving my life away or I don't have privacy, yada yada. Those pics are about 1% of my life, you know? Meaning.. they are JUST pics.

We all have different opinions. I'd rather post a pic like that of myself than a shot of my body or something (if that came across rude that was NOT my intention). I'm just pointing out that everyone has their opinion. I would never take a shot of my boobs (clothed and not clothed) and post it. That's just me. So you are you and I am me. Beautiful thing about the world - makes it interesting. :)

Not everyone is as comfortable with this new technological lifestyle.

I for one ; value my privacy.

Here is an example:

My mother in law. How would I like her to see that I've got my pics plastered all over a fitness and steroid website? What about that ex who might come here laughing his ass off because I finally have to diet and work out ; or the random guy from high school that I dont want knowing about my narcissism.

Its nice to NOT be known. Thats all. I guess i've had a couple of brushes with being found and its just easier this way.

For example I used to have a blog on Xanga ; that I updated and had pics on and whatever ; but I was found and it just made me feel uncomfortable.

The people who dont open up on the internet are the ones that probably have a hard time opening up in real life as well.

I can see your point to an extent. The pics I am posting are totally appropriate. I am not posting pictures of me naked, naughty pictures, etc. I think there is a BIG difference between sharing pictures that are totally appriopriate and then pics that aren't. I have a myspace website, too so to me, I am used to this. I would never share a picture that I thought would invade my privacy and what not. Believe it or not, it's very EASY for people to find out a lot about you JUST BY BEING on the internet. It happens to people all the time. Just because you don't have pictures up doesn't mean people can't find out things about you, you know? I just have a different opinion. No one that I know would laugh at me for putting pictures up like these.

Plus, people have their avatars and profile pics up here, too. What's the difference?

I was just doing some open thinking and part of my point was that we have the same sort of stuff to worry about regardless

there's been periods in my life in which I'm borderline agrophobic
I isolate
what's interesting is I interact very well with people and can engage total strangers of all types in conversation
somedays I just don't feel like it

And I see nothing innapropriate about your pics!! Its just a point of view I was trying to explain.

Its just easier this way.
