I thought it said it's the law unless the mother's life is in danger. The problem here is that the docs weren't SURE her life was in danger. But they did know her health was in danger. The law is vague and they hid behind the fact that they were a catholic group. But if she had lived who would have complained? And they could have used the "what if's" to back their decision.

The law states abortion is allowed when mothers life is at risk, not when her health is at risk. Doctors have to make judgment calls all the time and looks like they erred on the side of the law this time. The docs are at a disadvantage because of the vague law but try to see it from their view if they break the law.
This story is getting a lot of attention because she is a minority with a different religion(always the good guy) in a white catholic country(always the bad guys) and the topic concerns the forever hot button issue of abortion. If she was perfectly healthy and died from complications resulting from selective abortion we wouldnt be hearing about it.

you don't have to today.. just keep letting more and more migrate to your country there will be enough of them to change your laws to reflect the needs of the "many"..

This is exactly why republicans need to be deported, because they're trying to enact those ssame heart beat laws here in the states. Fuck, here in my state...one day after the election, my state went for Obama, the republican senators brought that law to the table. So they get their asses kicked and one day later they decide to move further to the right when everybody told them to fuck off cause you're too far to the right. They're done. America shows time and time again that when one party wants to pull shit too far to their side they get wall checked. Happened to the dems a few years back. People never learn I guess.
