Ugggggg no matter what I do they are never sore or feel like I have worked them in the least what's up with that?

Any Suggestions?

Thanks CC:D

Standing Calves, Leg sled machiene, I have used an aerobic Step to do standing calves on a Smith Machiene ummmm I feel it at the time of the set but they never really feel liked I hit them hard and I have tried different methods of training them.

Thanks CC :D

It depends for the most part I go up in weight then back down and fire out 30 seconds of partial reps for a couple of sets.
On my last calf workout I did it on the leg sled I had like 7 45's.
Standing I start out a low weight maybe like 120 for 12 then fire out the partial reps then go back down by 1/2 I get a burn but just not sore.....

Thanks CC:D

Hey Spatts yes when I run on a treadmill I will do like a gallop LOL it's pretty funny and I walk at a 15% grade pushing off Balls of feet ummm Jumping Rope I was actually think of that.
I train them twice I will really keep an on form.

Thanks CC

back when I was a *gasp* bodybuilder...I used a calf routine by Parillo (sp)

It was a triset.....go through it 1-3 times

A) Seated Calf raises or Standing calf raises....for sets of 100 reps

then imediately

B) Squatting calf raises ...feet close together....squat all the way down...heels directly under glutes...hold onto a piece of equipment and calf raise yourself up as high as you can.....for as many reps as possible.....probably will only manage 12-15 the first time...but work up to 50 as your calfs get stronger.

immediately followed by

C) Get a high box....and do fascial calf stretches...workin up to 1 minute for each leg.

my trainer is certified thru Parillo...

i do calves twice a week:

1st routine:
giant set

seated calf raises 100 reps
the squatting calf raises like Hannibal described 30 reps
standing calf raises 30 reps

repeat through 3 to 4 times....trust me...u will be sore for a couple days after this!

2nd routine:

standing calve raises, set of 60 reps, then 50, then 40, then 30 then 20 reps

standing calve raises 4 sets of 8-12 (slow and strict with 20 bounces at the end of each set)

seated calve raises 4 sets of 12-15 holding for count of 3 at the top for each rep

Hi Spatts,

Yes for the Soleus I do seated calf raises. I also work the
Tibialis Anterior with a Sissy Squat machiene as well, but they are still lagging.

Thanks CC :D
