The Women's Clothing Sizes Are Utter & complete Bullshit thread

I've noticed that women's upscale clothing stores, makes women's sizes smaller. (just the numbers)
Maybe be because they think women with money are heavier and
they will buy clothes easier if the sizes are smaller.

It's crazy! I wear lots of big t-shirts to. :)

I used to be so upset about clothing sizes now quite honestly I could give a fuck. I was actually in a shop in the mall with my 12 year old daughter and we are in nearly the same size. It isn't that I look 12. It is that she looks 16!! LOL

I tried on whatever was a bit too roomy for her and though they fit me, they made me look dumpy because I am extremely short-waisted (she will be a tall girl). I wasn't bothered by the fact that I didn't fit the pants right, but only commented on how the pants were obviously cut to fit someone with a different body type better. We were both trying on jeans that were anywhere from a size 0 up to a 7. The store was a junior store.

I wear men's jeans, children's and juniors. I could give a flying fuck about the tag. I try it on. If it fits to my liking and the price is right, I take it home. If not, then I put it back on the rack and think *phew* "I just saved some money!" LOL I think it will really save my female children from being screwed up in the head about their bodies by seeing me happy with my body - just dissatisfied with the clothing.

Man I can't wait until I'm a "regular" size LOL.....I'm still in plus sizes but the smaller end of them....

I went to Additional Elle the other day to buy new underwear, I was a 1X and they were tooo bigg!! Good thing I know, so I went to La Senza got an XL and they were too small?? WTF!!! So right now I'm between the plus and the regular sizes!! I have NOTHING that fits, and can't buy anything that fits because I'm between sizes....a 16 in the plus store is too big, and a 16 in a regular store is too small!! UGGGG...

SO I'm wearing my size 20 clothes right now, and they're TOO FREAKING BIG......

I won't even go into Shirts......I will always be a plus size there...all the stores think women have no boobs....unfortunatly I have them LOL

the ONLY designers that seem to not vanity size, seem to be jeans' retailers, those who size by waist measurement.

everyone else can't seem to agree what the measurements are for a simple US size 6 (UK 10). i know it used to be a classic 34-24-24...?

now a massive one cm in measurements calls for a whole new size!
