Bite me is right - one law abiding citizen with a concealed weapon (or one cop with balls) could have saved dozens of lives.

this is true. seems like years ago one little chinese guy would've got tackled by somebody. i'd rather go down fighting than die on my knees. was there not one guy who didn't try to charge this guy from behind? i know, i know. easy for me to say. the whole thing just makes me sick. some guy from china , been here since august can do something like this.

I've lived in both types of systems, one where everybody can have a gun legally and here where it would be easier to proclame yourself the son of Hitler and be elected Chancellor... nedless to say, (with that one exception in erfurt), people do kill each other, but more with bats and knives... and that is one at a time, not 30+

agree with your second paragraph. He likely hit a bunch of moving targets as well, very difficult to do unless trained.

I agree with this. My friend and I were discussing it tonight. He supports stricter gun laws. That shit won't work here. The bad guys are always gonna get the guns. If just one person had had a concealed gun on them, many lives could have been saved tonight.

You cant say that with any certainty. I've hunted half my life and been a firing range shooter for damn near ever. I have no tactical or situational training for such a situation. In all likely hood I like 99.9995% of everyone else who has had any such training would probably end up shooting another innocent person rather than taking out a shooter.

That or end up being taken down by police in a confusion of multiple gunmen.

That's like the 100th time I've seen this argument on this board since the incident yesterday. Cars are not made for the express purpose of killing things. Guns are. I've seen some decent arguments against gun control, this is not one of them.

well, well, well...since he wasn't a citizen, he could not legally purchase or acquire a handgun in the US, but yet he did anyways.

so, he acquired his firearms on the black market and killed people with them. why should congress pass more gun laws if these people are just going to break the laws anyway?
