The Ten Biggest Frauds In Bodybuilding

Nelson,

I know that you and Swolecat have had your differences, and I know you did NOT call him a fraud, but I don't see how you can say that he over charges anything. He charges what people are willing to pay. Someone could say that you overcharge for your books. Maybe they think they are worth no more than $5, but if people are willing to pay $30 for them, then that is what you should charge. If SC's advice was overpriced, then no one would pay for it. They value his advice and if someone is willing to pay a million dollars for it, then I say more power to him as well as you and your endeavors. The point is that you both try to help people and make a living while doing it.

RE: Prohormones/Prosteroids

There were several prohormones/prosteroids produced that worked to a degree but most sucked big time.

I can say that ONE, ONE+, and Ergo's original 1-AD worked to a degree. The problem is you have to take high doses everyday to get any growth and with high doses come high sides. I would never take these products again!

With 1-AD I was taking 900mg a day. That is almost a gram a day or almost 7 grams a week? The sides are NOT worth it!

Okee: Very true. It's a capitalistic society and anyone can charge whatever they want and the people can choose or not choose to buy it. And anything that works is better than something that's cheap and doesn't work.

But I still have the right to say that he overcharges. One can say the same of my books as well, but in my own defense, at least I'm offering something a little different. That's my problem with swole cat. I feel it's just another diet plan -- no better , or worse, or different than a thousand others. The only thing that's different is basically a gimmick. Sure, it may work. But so will any of the other thousand diet plans.

Anyway, your point is valid -- which is why I didn't call him a fraud. Someone who purposely deceives someone for profit, doesn't practice what he preaches, or gives detremental advice under the guise of being an expert -- that's what I call a fraud.

I hear what you're saying. I respect your opinion as well as SC...and my name is OKIE!:)

Dude, comparing 6.3 grams a week in an oral compound with only about 15 percent bioavailability/conversion to a dose of an injectable compound is ridiculous.

You have to understand that sides are directuly correlated with gains. I have taken 600mg daily with no sides other than being tired and worn out. Maybe a little stomach upset if I didn't eat soon enough after taking the pills. Anyways I gained some serious muscle in 2 weeks! I gained about 10 pounds (from around 170 to around 180) with a drop in bf and no water retention (remember this stuff is like primo no E). No hairloss, no acne, nothing.

Actually there was one more side. My body hair seemed to become faster growing and I noticed some new growth too.

I see nelson help people here almost every day for free, sure he has a book that may cover issues in more detail and people can buy it and read it and learn, but swolecat charges for his help, I've seen him reply to people about their diets he'll say very unspecific things and be rude even, so people will get no benefit and must buy his diet for help.. now I expect some will say 'oh well what about his 7 days to ultimate leaness' which is a self promotional piece, as it's obvious since it says at the begining 'this is for people that are already really lean' ...or whatever.. so people will need to go use his program to get lean. I think he even makes reference to his program there,.. too lazy to look at it again.

Yeah, Heaven forbid that someone charge for their services. Nelson does us a great service, by posting good info for free, but that doesn't mean that someone who charges for their service is any less. SC's program isn't just a diet. It is a training regimen and counseling as well. Anyone can look up a diet that will probably work, but how many times are those diets detailed beyond question or even tailored for a person's weight. People like to feel like they aren't missing anything and they don't want to have guesswork, and that is what SC offers. He offers a service and people are obviously willing to pay for it, so get over it. I guess you expect plumbers to come over and unclog your drains for free too.

honestly Nelson I like your book a lot. but u really do not give any diet advice. u just say eat less.
it would be good when u would do that in next book or so. or at least people give some guidelines how to eat etc...

not so many smart people are out there and thats a niche for swolecat. he needs to explain them such stupid things.
someone has to do it.

nope, never used a plumber, I've always unclogged the drain myself, just as I always diet myself... no one to baby me along..
