Is it any wonder investors have become fixated with determining which stocks, sectors, or countries will be the best performers in the next month, or the next quarter?

Whatever happened to BUY AND HOLD?

Buy and hold is crap, unless you're investing in Berkshire Hathaway A or some fo the various other long term, solid as hell companies

Imperial PlasTech (this is a solid SOLID investment for 3-5, and also for quick 2-3 day speculation)

and.. Nortel Networks, just bought a tonne of it about two weeks ago

all these trade on CDNX, TSE or NASDAQ

solid stocks, and i also do some speculation with various other companies

I am with you guys on this. I used to do a ton of research and I was a very small time trader, but I was making about $10k/month on the side of my job. It is a real screw job right now. Best time to invest is when all is when everything is safe.

I'm only pulling the big boys now. Sold all the CREE, RBAK, SCMR, MKSI, LSI, GLW, JDSU, IDTI, etc.

Time to be safe. There will be good times to play the market, it is just not today.
