Lets face it...we've all wanted to take some time off from the gym and not lose any strength or size while we're away. I know I can't keep up my routine forever, and I want some sort of confidence that when I hit a dry period, I won't lose too much of what i've strived so hard to achieve.
One of the things I've been hearing as a key to keeping size and strength over the long run is alternating between low and high rep workouts. Do any of you agree or disagree with this?
I interpret this as saying one week i will work a part with sets of 6-8 and the next week i will work with lighter weight doing 10-12 reps....is this correct?
I know a huge percentage of keeping it lies in genetics...but there has got to be something we can do to insure these bodies over the long haul.
