The real deal....

I wonder how many people use real stats when coming here for advice. I have never seen so many 400lb+BP and 600LB+Squats in my life.

I'll be the first to admit Im a relatively skinny puck but I'm not saying I can rep evn 315 either.

There are a lot of good people in here that have given out advice, some to me. I appreciate it! I just wonder if people giving false stats know that the advice they are getting could be wrong based on bad information.

I can almost bench 1000pds It just takes me x3 reps to get there :)

I guess it's just so easy to exaggerate on the net that it's too tempting for a lot of people to resist.

Like internet dating.....you can't imagine how many of those chicks were hot their freshman year in college(date of pic posted)...unfortunately that was 8 yrs and 40 pds ago...

But, there are also a lot of strong folks on this board as well. It's the folks who say "180, all natural, squat 760" you kind of have to wonder about...

Either they are flat out lying, or their idea of a 760 squat is traveling 2 inches per rep. with a belt and knee straps and complaining of of their "bad knees" lol

8 years and 40lbs ago... lmao

never got over 400--not cleanly at least.

squat---just pathetic but i will take any bro on a bicycle ride from 8000 feet to 13,300 in 12 miles

I am 12 weeks back from a 3 year off period...
I am not maxing out for 1 reps but i give my working weights.

Squat - repping 315 5x6
DL - Repping 315 for 8's, and hitting 405 for 2x5
Bench flat - 245 5x6
incline DB after flat - 90's 5x6

Standing mil press - 135 10 x 6 -- 5 in front, 5 in back

Well i just got on var...

And previous, as a natty and a fat bastard..

Bench 295 x 5
Deadlift 565 ... 405 x 17
Squat 530

Let's see what happens!!!

After 3 years off I think that's pretty damn good!

focusing mainly on strength is not as important to me as other things so i am happy to be completely honest about it
barbell bench- none cant do it at the min seems to pull my chest so substituted for db with my wrists at an angle wich seems to ease it 112lb db's(heaviest my gym has) 12-10 reps incline and flat
seated db military press 112lb db's 8 reps (yesterday) the best i can remember doing
deadlift started doing them again 3 weeks ago after not doing them for a few month 540lbs 2 reps
squats (weak!) 360lbs 7 reps
leg press 585lbs 9 reps on monday

Geeeeez, I have no idea why people lie. Guess they are just afraid of the truth. I know what I can or cant lift. And by the looks of it, its much less than most of the people here, not counting the liars :D

Besides, how much you can lift is generally matched with the individuals bodytype. And lifting big has no direct reflection on size or symmetry or vascularity.

Ok thats all I guess. :D

people lie about the weight they lift just like they lie about the weight they gain on cycle. you have to weed through the bullshit and use personal experience as a guide. my gym is loaded with powerlifters and bbers. i was talking to a guy the other day and we both said how funny it is to hear all of the 500 to 600 pound deadlifters there are on the internet yet in person we never see it. i see the competitive guys pulling big but wheres all the 22 to 25 year olds doing 500 for 5 x 5 that i read about all the time?

I usually only frequent this board and call me ignorant but I don't think its as bad as you make it. fuck it who cares anyway what someone says on the internet anyway.

didnt realize i made it so bad.

I dont know what it is in lbs and can't really be bothered to convert but I bench 160kgs for 5 clean reps - I am just over 6 foot and currently weighing in at around 260. My goal is to get to 270-280 with around 12% bf.

I don't see why people would need to lie about their stats but remember a lot of children surf the internet and live out fantasies

There were 6 - 12 guys on my college football team that could squat 600+ and bench 400+, and they were all natural. I went to a small school that wasn't all that good, so I bet there are actually a lot of guys out there that can lift that much, especially if the are on a cycle.

Hahaha! Yea I know what ya mean bro! But the more you get to know and read post from the guys here you can see who is full of shit.

Yea the other thing that burns my ass is people walking up to me and say "my buddy's arms are bigger than yours" or "I know this guy... hes a little bigger than you" Jesus titty fucking christ my arms were 19 1/2 at my best in very lean condition after 15 hard years of bobybuilding and I hear this shit everyday... where the fuck are these guys? NOT in my gym, club, mall, etc

I love calling a mother fucker out in the gym... I trained chest and tris with this cocky 21 year old punk a few weeks ago that was given me shit about not doing 130s bumbell presses like him. I shut him down cuz he couldnt hang with the old dog. Big fucking talker until we trained ONE TIME together. When you hit 30 you need watch your ass and what kind of heavy weight your moving around cuz things heal a little slower. :worried:

Guys talk shit in this arena just laugh at it or call them out when you have had enough.

I feel ya. I don't know why people lie either. You should be honest so you can improve.

I weigh less then 200 lbs and bench a little over 300 lbs. Nothing great but at least I am honest with myself.

Im the same why bro, just under 200, and bench just a lil over 300.. no shame in that at all IMO

Actually, the question should be changed. example,

How much can you half-rep???

or

How much can you lift with your partner??

too funny! yeah, everytime I go up in weight, I sacrifice form. Its been awhile since I hit any max worth talking about. I weigh 190-200 and on good days, I can fool around with the 200lb DB's( i dont use flat bench anymore, hurts my shoulders). I pyramid up to a good weight and go 6-8 reps but I never keep a notebook. Hudson-uk, while you repping the 112's on military press, I was busy destroying the 65's! 540 deadlift? nice, I think I would just roll it around a bit, puff and grunt and strain and then give up and tell my partner "I did these yesterday, so..."

I'm in it for the looks personally..

I'm the fastest growing mofo at my gym, I don't bench, or squat with more than 4 plates ever. Unless it's T-Bar rows, I love that shit.

I can bench 500lbs!

lol just playing. My max is like 275. not that great, but then again I have a lurpy natural build.

no lying here. my life long goal is to hit a 300lb bp but probably never will. i have very very long arms and for some reason bp has always been a very weak point for me. On the other hand for my weight i've always had strong legs and i just started working them this january.

5'11"
180lbs
7% bf
225bpx1
375squatx1
300deadx1

+1 bro, i could really care less how much weight is on the bar.

I'm with you as well on the growing fast. when i started 6 months ago i was the guy looking at the bigger guys in awe, no i've started to notice some of those guys looking at me. It is great when on a daily basis i have some of the younger guys come up and ask me about lifts and shit like that. i'm FARRRRRRRRR from huge, but i've grown very quick and very lean so i look larger than i really am. i like the illusion of being strong as hell

whats up bro's! need some privite advise!! need new reliable source yes damn newbie but need gear everyone was a newbie. 6'2 210 want a cycle of sust 250 advise!

I can BP 350, 1 rep max, on Tren. But that's not very impressive. 400+ is impressive.
The kicker is... I'm 51 years old. That ain't bad.

Can YOUR Dad do that?

And you guys that think 30-40 is old, are punk ass bitches. :stilleto:  :sassy: :kaioken: :daisy: :redhot:

:laugh2: :lmao: :FRlol:

That reminds me if a few years ago. There was a tool on here saying he gained like 60 lbs of muscle and at least 200 lbs on the big three lifts. Goona look it up and post it for laughs.
