the progression of my bar

yeah man, i havn't had brass monkey since like 91 or something. prolly out of the same bottle i have now. used to sneak to the bar when my grandparents went to sleep and hit the sauce a little.....and i'd also prepare a big jar of a mix of everything to take back home. mix 12 different alcohols in a jar, shake, serve to friends. you really dont' give a fuck when you're 14, as long as you get drunk

my bro in HS took a bottle of creme de menthe once... we all passed out after the night was over - he screamed when his shit came out electric green the next morning...

Yeah, I remmeber that pic, butI want to see what it looks like at your place, like what else did you do with it.

not set up yet actually. 10 wing nuts, 5 screws, i had it apart. once i get it set up, it'll be pretty basic. just going to hang the rack on the wall and put the bar in front of it. i kinda like the way it looks, so no need to tear it down as of yet. but like i said, my basement looks like a dungeon, so it's going to be pretty interesting.

a Dunkin Donuts near me is remodeling and they're selling the old booths. i'm real tempted to sneak by at night and snag 2 of them.

get some mirrors and wood panelling and pimp that shit out 70s stlye with some shag carpet..

funny you should say that....most of my downstairs is wood paneling. damn glad i don't own this place!

no carpeting going into the basement, it leaks. we're actually finishing up ripping out the carpet some idiot put in there before us. that's why the basement stinks actually. not too much more to remove, but we've got all sorts of stuff piled on it.

can not wait for August to roll around. grandmother's house will no longer be my problem and i'll have time to devote to drinking all that liquer...err, i mean, setting up the bar ;)

you need to work on your bottled beer stock....some various germans and belgians, and assorted american microbrews.

and if you start having people over and shit, get a CO2 system goin

the beer situation is kinda dim at the moment. i'll brew my own instead of buying. havn't had the time. got a full brew kit for xmas (not that brewmiester crap, the REAL DEAL) and made an Irish Stout that turned out real good. costs about $25 to make 2 cases.

in about, oh, 10 years when i can buy my own house and set it up, i'll have something on tap, maybe 2 at a time. who knows. but when that day comes, this bar will be history and i'll have something perminet built.

also have a nice assortment of bar glasses i have to wash, but that won't happen til i get the basement prepped and bar set up.
