So as I left school today, I decided to bring my other half some food at work... the dinner choice was a #1 from McDonalds. The Mac and I have a long history. I thought I would be able to handle it, but the smell of the french fries filled the entire car on the drive there. Truthfully, not only did my mouth water, but it was almost arousing. Alas! I resisted. However, when I got home I dug into my stash and went through two packs of cigarettes... the candy ones. Cavity sticks, I know. But my gosh...

Does anyone else have a food they have a really hard time saying no to? Keep in mind the holidays are creeping up.
 
If there is something I can't say no to and I am trying to lose weight and or maintain weight I just don't keep it in the house its that simple.

Mental. This time of year for me is a nightmare the clocks just went forward and I suffer from s.a.d.s my craving get so powerful it's horrible esp when my other half is 47kg and has a sweet tooth and can manage to eat almost anything and doesn't put a lb on lol I have to ask her to hide it ...I prefer whopper bk mmmmmm. You are soo cruel Kal posting about forbidden food is like swearing on here !! Lmao

Candy cigs?! Wow blast from the past on those! I'm pretty sure they banned those along with the real ones here in flordia awhile back.....anything chocolate gets me. I live w/ 2 middle aged men that are happy being fat so they eat/drink whatever they feel like. I make them hide their chocolate in their rooms if they want to actually be able to eat. Lol.

Omg those things are delicious! But just in eating one I an feel my sodium shooting up lol I don't even like to think about how much extra work needs to be done to compensate for one.

As for the candy cigs, I'm pretty sure they're gone in the majority of the southern states... I ordered a giant box from amazon =). Secret stash = candy cigs, peanut m&ms, skittles and kit kat bars. Its the drawer that I'm only allowed to open on during midterms and finals.

I once read that you have to walk the length of a football field to burn the cals from 1 m&m. I really hope that's not true.
 
If I were to get home and find that my husband had made me a spagetti dinner with meat sauce, caesar salad and garlic bread I probably couldn't say no - no matter where I was in training.
I have learned the hard way that sugary stuff just has too many side effects for me- I feel really really ill after eating cookies or desserts- like passing out, feeling like barfing, and being moody. I think I'm really sensitive to sugar or something. My doctor assures me that my blood tests are all OK but I think I might have a problem like being pre diabetic or something. It feels so wrong.
But a big carby fatty dinner like pasta- omfg.
 
Another tip is making sure you are prepared with food on you at all times. I normally carry around at least 1 oz of almonds with me. So just in case I am not left with crappy options. Also make sure to eat before you are going to be around tempting foods this way you will be full so you can say no easier. Never go to the grocery store hungry ever LOL I tend to go after dinner and with a list and keep on track with the list.
 
Chips! That's it. I have a really restricted diet (No red meats, no processed foods and no gluten) and since I changed my diet, I never crave crappy foods cept for the chips. Which I eat so little of.

Try a pickle next time you want a chip. I don't even like potatoes but once and while I crave chips this week actually so I had 2 pickles.
