The lesbian needs info about BC pills

Ladies and gentleman can anyone tell me if all BC pills are the same? I think i have heard they are not, that there are very different types. My sister in law has had problems like spider veins, weight gain, etc. on them and will not use them anymore even though she would like to still.

Being homosexual i have never had a reason to learn anything at all about them. I was hoping some people here could give some information. Thanks all! :D :D

Im sorry spatts. I do not know ANYTHING about BC in general.

What is Copper-T? Is this like a IUD.....or is it some other drug that stops pregancy?

My sister in law liked the ease of just taking a pill i guess and wants to do that.
She says her "spider veins" came just when she was on the pills, but i do not know what kind. She feels certain the pills did it. Could this be true or just chance happening?

The website said you should have had one child first??

You also have to have monthly check-ups..

That is interesting... I also want to find out about Yasmin birth control. I like the idea of skipping periods:)

You don't HAVE to have a child, it's just recommended. My doc mentioned NOTHING about monthly check-ups and I've never heard of it until now. Cost is anywhere from 300-700 depending on where you go. Divide that over 144 months, and it's pretty cost effective.

I saw nothing on the site about monthly checks...there's a blurb about monthly SELF CHECKS to see if you can feel the strings up in there. Is that what you're talking about:

Is ParaGard convenient to use?

Once ParaGard is inserted by your doctor or healthcare professional, you can forget about it — except for the monthly self-checks of the string. That makes ParaGard more convenient than almost all other reversible methods, because you don't have to think about it every day.

Oops.... ;) ;)

All I know about pills is that there are some with higher and lower estrogen doses than one another b/c that was my question to my doctor. The one she gave me which is lower than the Ortho-tri-cyclin I was taking is called Alesse, I guess it is fairly new and a very low estrogen dose, almost half of the already low dose in Ortho.
That's my knowledge passed on from the DR. hope it helps your sis.
