The Dixie Chicks win was purely political

the only reason they won album of the year was because they chose to be so vehemently anti-bush.

i hate justin timberlake as much as i hate the dixie chicks, but he deserved to win.

anyone who disagrees needs to explain why the #9 selling album of 2006 beat the #1 (timberlake)-#8 selling albums of 2006 to win best album.

If that were true, the last album would have won all the grammies. Their last one is was when they made the comments. Those comments were made TWO YEARS ago. If this were a political statement, it is late in coming. Those gals are just enormously talented. No one can even deny that.

I didn't watch the grammies. I just think they are very talented. I like their albums. Seems like each album and each song is consistently great.
