Time for some reviews!

A7x: About halfway through. Still looking for the shout-outs to Dream Evil and Dragonforce in the liner notes. Good music, but it's obvious Shadows' clean vox took a beating along with the screamy screams after that surgery. Singing sounded about 7,000,000 times better on Waking the Fallen. Other than that little gripe, it's solid music.

Hammerfall: On my official Heavy Metal Cheese O'Meter, this mid-tempo power metal opus registers a respectable 6.7. Anthemic choruses that will have you shouting along and leads that will do their best to create an orgasm via the aural senses prove that these leather-clad Finnish folk, while laying down the cheesiest lyrics this side of Scandinavia, know how to make an enjoyable 45 minutes of music.

A Perfect Murder: While taking influence from Pantera and Metallica, they seem to have forgotten that the aforementioned performed for more than two minutes at a time. Good music though.

In Flames: N/A. Will listen tomorrow, probably.

Final review of A7x: Great musicianship; Absymal vocal performance. They need to fire Matt, or ne needs to take more than a few months' worth of voice lessons before putting out another record.

In Flames: Only got to listen to a couple tracks, but it sounds fucking killer. This is what they need to go back to with this next album.

Jester Race is an incredible album. IMO, Whoracle is In Flames' only other album that can come close to Jester Race.
