And now, what I think of my other purchases:
DevilDriver: Well that was a waste of money. Note to self: If a band sounds really cool live, sample the disc first, rather than forking out the money and be disappointed. The lead track, End of the Line, is fucking killer, but the rest of the CD really let me down. Maybe I just can't get past Dez's shitty vocals. Should have learned my lesson with Coal Chamber.
Darkane: A few too many blast beats for my taste, as I'm not a huge fan of the sound, but Jesus does everything else make up for it. I haven't heard this many catchy choruses in a melo-death record since Soilwork's Natty Born Chaos. The title track might be my new favorite song for a while.
Full Blown Chaos: Well, they ain't gonna win any awards for Best Musicianship anytime soon, but boy are these guys just so much fun to listen to. Each time I play a song from FBC, I just want to flip over a table and punch someone in the face. Think Hatebreed, but twice as fast, five times as heavy, and like a billion times better overall. Jamey, bro, take notes. Hell, you even helped produce the album. Learn some stuff.
