Tom Platz ...the best developed thighs ever...could touch his head to his knees...FLEX Wheeler did the splits as part of his poseing routine ...don't think that that guy isn.t flexible ...you can't tell by looking
Bruce is a valid pitcure in this forum. Reminder:there are plenty of 250-300 lb NFL players that can do things that would make Bruce Lee drool. Kick Dorians ass?
Dorian would eat Bruce as a snack between his 3rd and 4th meal of the day, and pick his teeth with the bones.
I don't mean to rain on your fandom dude, but I've been listening to it for 30 years. Lee was never in a martial arts competition.
More impressive: Norris was in the Air Force in Korea in 1960 at the age of 20 when he was first exposed to Korean karate. He liked the discipline and phylosophy and decided to pursue it. By '63 he was California champ, in '64 he was National champ and in starting in '65 he was world champ for 5 years straight! (Kind of mirrors Dorians' career)
Check out 'The Octagon' , it's his one true purely martial arts film and he's at the age of 40. It's bad as hell!!!
If you are talking standup, you might be right. However, you mentioned the octagon, and the other men would be able to graple him. Bruce is incredibly agile and strong (Keep in mind he did do bench press with 120lb dumbells in each hand). His stomach workout was inclined situps slower on the way down. Very fit guy, but not on bodybuilding terms.
so being super flexible is something we all need to be? who the hell cares if bruce lee is more flexible than dorian yates. you are comparing apples and oranges.

I didnt know that Bruce lee was a professional bodybuilder??
yes I could see him standing next to Dorian too..
BTW, have you not seen flex wheeler, ernie taylor and worlds strongest man mariuz pudzianowski...they can all do the spilts
There is quite a difference in actually looking strong and being strong. Not only that but someone should clarify what strong actually means. If you take it in a way like : "the one who lifts more poundage is the strongest" yeah Bruce Lee is no comparison to the pro bb's. However if you take it in a way " Strong = the man who wins in a fight" then I believe all the top BB's could not even touch Bruce Lee. Training to fight and training for bb are 2 completely different things ... just take a look at some K1 matches and look at some skiny guys and the way the eliminate opponents that are 50+ pounds more and 2 heads taller ...
I could go on forever, having studied martial arts for 8 years and having done bb for 6 ... but there is really no point comparing apples to oranges like glennds said...
