The BEST things about outdoor early morning cardio

okay, who handed out the ecstacy? :)

LOL! Just HIGH on LIFE girlie :D

Either that or it's the flax seed oil :)

Funny thing, though - I used to take E( til I read that it affects memory) - but I haven't found anything yet that feels as good as being sober and exercising, and learning new stuff. (Yeah, I'm a geek, but whatever).

I have been out in torrential downpours, icy streets, snow, gale force winds....

And there I thought it was just me. These are much more fun when you're not carb-depleted, though. :)

A couple of winters ago we had an ice-storm here. Coming from warmer climes, I wasn't sure how to deal with the ice when riding my bike. So I held on tight and just RODE over a big patch of it.

STUPID! I REALLY got in touch with ol' Mother Earth that time. OW!

Had to add some more here:

You can do cool stuff, like seeing how long you can go without touching the handlebars.

You can race down the street screaming I'M ALIIIIIIIIVE!!! and only a few crows and a couple of geriatrics will notice.

You can practice your flying 180 degree turn skid stops in the centre of intersections where you didn't expect to find a car.

Bunny hops.

Singing, grunting, talking to yourself ...

:)

damn....do we nned to more this between the sheets? lol.....this thread made me horny....well except the farting part.....bbbwwhhaaaa.....damn!

There aren't so many people up, so for a few precious moments, you have the city to yourself (and that's saying something, with a pop. of 30 mil. in greater Tokyo).
3) It's still relatively cool, and quiet.

You don't hear the phrase anymore, but it used to be called "The Silver Hour"... that time of day just as the sun begins to chase off the darkness... and the world hasn't yet awakened.

It's the best time of day, and those who know it hold it precious.

I have to admit, I love the early morning run. I head up to the stadium - there's a walkway around the stadium with a hill in it I like to run on. I have my little bunny friend who jogs along with me on the back stretch (or maybe he thinks I'm chasing him...). Only problem was the morning a skunk streaked across my path. He had me a little spooked I was going to end up smellin' pretty for work. Luckily, that was the only sighting, but I smelled him the whole run.

Steel Weaver, I have to ask this: What the hell are you doing in Tokyo? How does one end up in Tokyo? I can see accidentally ending up in in Alabama or Rhode Island, but not japan.
